denamo Posted December 19, 2009 #26 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Next we be having mustard drills and we will have to bring all our different types of mustard. Nathan's Hot Dog mustard for me. Don't we already have "mustard drills" where we have to wear our life vests out on deck. :D Seems like grabbing the mustard before heading out wouldn't be too difficult if you luggage has arrived in your stateroom at that point. Do we then have to call it the mustard-muster drill?

kldt Posted December 19, 2009 #29 Share Posted December 19, 2009 There was no yellow mustard on NOS in March. I even asked for it and they told me they didn't have any. I will be bringing my own this cruise.
DetroitMark Posted December 19, 2009 #30 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Speaking of condiments ... (and we were, weren't we?) When I was in London I had a stack of fries with Wilkin & Sons Tiptree Tomato Sauce. They don't call it Ketchup except when they're talking to we Americans. It made we wonder why we eat the bottles of sugary goo we do. Just a personal preference. But this stuff is really a fine Catsup!
babyher Posted December 19, 2009 #31 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Kosciusko or however you spell it is very good. Boars Head makes a fantastic Deli Mustard as does Hebrew National. Yellow Mustard is just nasty. Just MHO
Philly Steve Posted December 19, 2009 #32 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Don't we already have "mustard drills" where we have to wear our life vests out on deck. :D They used to have that on the old "French's Line" ships. :p

CruiseKeeper Posted December 19, 2009 #37 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Mmmmm. I'm remembering those fancy prosciutto/swiss/egg sandwiches in the Promenade cafe. After the long fight with the packet, I was finally able to install the French's yellow on the sandwhich. It was deelish. :D

DetroitMark Posted December 19, 2009 #41 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Any mustard, any color is fine by me but please no mayo, just miracle whip thank you!:p Blech. Better living through chemistry I guess. What in the heck is that putrid gluck even MADE of? Certainly not food. At least I know there's an egg in mayo. Tucker in Texas Posted December 19, 2009 #42 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Any mustard, any color is fine by me but please no mayo, just miracle whip thank you!:p I can remember my mother remarking that she knew she was "rich" when she could get mayo and not miracle whip which was cheaper. Now they both cost the same. This was, also, the era when the ladies would look down on someone who cheaped out their chicken salad by using veal! How times have changed.
