OASIS DVD - Cruise in Review - QUALITY?

Recommended Posts

We just came back from the Dec. 12-19, 2009 sailing on the Oasis (it was WAY BEYONE FANTASTIC!!!!), and got the DVD. Did anyone get the DVD called "Cruise in Review", which covered the ship's tour, ports of call, guest activities, and highlights of your cruise vacation? Did you have the highlights of YOUR vacation, or was your DVD just like a "promo" of the ship. Ours is just a promo (which is great but we wanted to see "us" onboard, which we saw as the ship demonstrated their DVD of this.

Also, how was the quality of the DVD? Ours was hard to see; poor quality, blurry - maybe because we have HDTV and this isn't for HD? Let us know how your video was, quality-wise, and if you had video of people on your particular cruise (or if it was just a promo).

Thanks, and happy sailing!

The DVD we were given on the Inaugural had a bad file which caused it to not work correctly. Apparently we are being sent new ones.

But from what I did see on the DVD it didn't actually show very much of our actual sailing. Luckily we got the DVD as a gift..no way would I have paid for this DVD.

Very disappointing though that they didn't actually include much footage from the sailing:(

  • 3 weeks later...

The response we received from Image - the photography company when we questioned the wereabouts of the shots from our cruise...very disappointing. At least they are willing to allow us to return the DVD and receive our money back.

"That is the way RCCL makes it on the Oasis.

If you would like to return the DVD for a refund I will be happy to see that RCCL issue one to you. Please return it to the below address and include your full Name, Booking # , Cabin # and sail dates.

Best Regards,

We felt the same way. This is very different from the typical cruise in review DVD. At the beginning, it didn't even give the date and sailing number. Just another Oasis of the Seas advertisement, which is crazy because you've already been on the ship!
