To me its a great location, your mid ship...have cabins above and below for the noise...and a set of stairs up to the lido deck and bar...I would say its pretty good. :D

Have you looked to be sure the main pool deck isnt right above you?? I havent looked but thats the one thing you need to be carefull of booking on deck 8. The deck is wood and they push and pull the deck chairs around on the wood at night washing it down. Make sure you are below a carpeted area.

 

Well, I see someone else says you have cabins above you ... so you must be toward the front ... so you will be good.
