tubasteve Posted January 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2010 Hi all, I will be in Grand Turk in April aboard the Emerald Princess:D. I'm considering this shore excursion, but can't seem to find any reviews. Has anyone tried it? Any feedback would be appreciated. s & m Posted February 25, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2011 We took this tour on our recent cruise and booked it through the cruise line. Personally I don't think it's a really great tour. They crammed 40 people on the boat and then we all had to put life jackets on. That made it very close and gave us very little room to sit. Then when we got to the snorkel spot there was limited space to get your snorkel gear on and move about the boat. If there had been 10 fewer people on the excursion it would hve been much better. The island was very small and we put up on the beach and walked up to see the other side. As far as the old ruins I have no idea what they are talking about. There were no old ruins on the island we were on. Complimentary beverages consisted of rum punch, a red non-alcoholic punch, and water all in coolers that were self-serve but if you weren't near the coolers it was hard to get a drink. They didn't want you to move about when the boat was moving. The snorkeling was ok but the saving grace of the tour was the stingrays that we saw. One of the crew fed them and kept them near the boat. There was another boat snorkeling in the same area so there were a lot of people in the water.
