What if we are late to our fixed time dining?

Recommended Posts

If you dont want to switch to MTD you don't necessarily have to. I suppose it depends on what size table you are on. On the occasions we've sat with other people we've always attempted to get there on time, or been just a few minutes late, or we've said the previous evening we might show up late if we had a long day planned, so everyone knew what was happening. But these were all people we got on well with, and I can't imagine how awkward it would be to have dining companions sat around the same table who ignore you. I'm afraid I would force them into conversation for the Hell of it!

However, we were on the BOS last summer, on a table just for the 4 of us, and when we mentioned we might not eat in the dining room because we would be late, the wait staff said it was no problem and we could come up to an hour late if we wished. We never did, but it took away any stress we might have had if we had shown up 30 or more minutes late.

My Time Dining is still "fixed" to a point

You still need to let the MD know what time you want to dine the next evening.

It should really be called Flexi Time dining.

No you don't unless you wish to. You can simply just show up the next evening at whatever time is best for you and chances are very good that you will be seated without any measurable delay.

You are right, but somehow the previous post popped up on my screen and I did not check its date before responding. It's really never to late to correct an erroneous post, however.;)
