Dem920 Posted January 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2010 I know this is a matter of taste, but which of the ships sailing in the Caribbean in the Summer is the best. I know it is subjective, but trying to find the right ship with the right amenities for a group of 50+ people. Waterslide is a must as is good food. Everything else is up for grabs. Thoughts? Comments? Anything?? Thanks in advance. It has been a while since I've been on Carnival, but they seem to have better itineraries then the other cruise lines. Gator Man Posted January 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2010 When you say a water slide and good food that pretty much says Carnival. Royal Carribbean has the flow rider for surfing type activities and think they have wave pool too.
Ladyvdr Posted January 25, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2010 Carnival's newest ship, the Dream, has some pretty good slides.
zqvol Posted January 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2010 That description pretty much says NCL. Carnival has the water slide but the food is just average. The real truth is that all the mass market lines at best have average food.
brooklynfc Posted January 26, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2010 If you want slides you need to go with the Conquest ships (Freedom, Liberty, Conquest, Valor, Glory) or the new ship the Dream. Those ships have the big movie screen, putt putt gold, basketball courts, ping pong, etc. Personally, I've liked all the food I've had on cruise ships, some individual meals more than others, but as long as I don't have to cook it I have a low standard. I don't each at four star resturants all the time. Olive Garden is about as high class as it gets in my area.
