chrysalis Posted February 1, 2010 #26 Share Posted February 1, 2010 What sort of nibbles do they have? Do they have crisps or nuts? Don't you want anything to be a surprise?:) If you want crisps or nuts, you will have to buy them in the store on the ship or in a port. The food changes all day depending on the time of day, so to make a list would be a bit daunting.
Rare Kinkacruiser Posted February 1, 2010 #27 Share Posted February 1, 2010 What sort of nibbles do they have? Do they have crisps or nuts? HC has nibblies at different times of the day, cornchips and salsa dips etc. There's also cheese and crackers and what I call 'finger food'. I use the big oval plates as a tray. You'll have to bring your own nuts and chips onboard. I'm not sure if they sell nuts and chips in the ship's shop.
Rare geoherb Posted February 1, 2010 #28 Share Posted February 1, 2010 When we had our first balcony cabin, we invited a couple to meet us for wine before dinner. They were joining us that night. I went up to the Horizon Court and picked up some cheese and crackers to go with the wine. We were on the Aloha Deck, and it just seemed easier than trying to order something through room service. If you want, say, tortilla chips at some other time of day, just ask for them. DW loves them and one night at 2 AM after a long casino session, she wanted some. She asked one of the workers and he brought her a bowl full of them! Shaom from Tel Aviv, Andy.
Cruisin' Chick Posted February 1, 2010 #34 Share Posted February 1, 2010 Or have them put it in a bigger glass. ;) I'll have to hint rather nicely to hubby to put my OJ in a bigger glass. I don't drink coffee so my morning OJ is vital and needs to be more than a puny glassful. Why would you want to? Are you worried they might run out of food for the next day? Just about every sea day, my hubby will get up early to do a little exercise and then get his made to order omelet in the Horizon. He then makes up a tray (yes, the one in the room on the fridge) with cereal, pastries, fruit for his girls (my daughter and I try to sleep in when we're on vacation...I'm usually up around 6am when not on vacation). That way, we won't be missing breakfast by the time we get up and dresses.

SilentTraveller Posted February 1, 2010 #36 Share Posted February 1, 2010 Now I avoid imminent breakfast starvation by stockpiling the little boxes, and then eating down the stockpile on the last few days. At least you are consuming it onboard. After a recent cruise, while waiting in the airport lounge for the flight home, a lady that had been on our transfer to the airport opened her carry-on bag and it had no less than 20 boxes of cereal. Actually, I don't think there was much of anything else in her bag...

newmexicoNita Posted February 2, 2010 #38 Share Posted February 2, 2010 We buy drinks in port, so we don't need to carry drinks back to our cabin to go with our lunch. If we want coffee/tea we call room service. Works out well. Best idea yet... NIta
