pnjkeith Posted February 8, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2010 I think Carnival should post in the new Capers or Fun Times. CIGAR SMOKING ALLOWED ON ALL BALCONIES N ANY OUTDOOR DECK. What say you. No flaming needed.

SAC69 Posted February 8, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2010 I wasn't aware that cigar smoking on your balcony was restricted. In my case there is a 100% probability that this will occur nightly.:D
Soon2BCrusin Posted February 8, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2010 Isn't cigar smoking currently allowed on balconies? Or only Cigarettes? As I don't smoke Cigarettes anymore (just passed 3yrs on the 5th) I would hate to think I'm not allowed to enjoy a cigar on my balcony... I think as long as I have my balcony and the other smoking areas of the ship already provided, I'd not be offended to not have every open air section of the ship... Lighting up in the casino already means I'll be there for at least 90min...Unless I take my cigarillos along... but those aren't that tasty lol. They need to post it so the non smokers will not complain.

Side of ship seems to vary. BTW you can smoke your Cigar in your room.
kwala Posted February 8, 2010 #13 Share Posted February 8, 2010 I have been on numerous cruises on different cruise lines and cigar smoking was not allowed on balconys, only cigarettes. Smoke is smoke, but I guess that there is a difference to the cruise lines. It seem that Carnival has very relaxed rules on smoking. On one cruise I even had a person complain to the purser about my cigar smoking on the balcony.

Just don't plan on smoking in a room with no ventelation. So I'll be in the cigar bar, or casino or smoking section outside... I can't wait to have that first cigar on deck watching the sun set as I sail away from San Diego towards Cabo San Lucas...
pnjkeith Posted February 8, 2010 Author #15 Share Posted February 8, 2010 . On one cruise I even had a person complain to the purser about my cigar smoking on the balcony. Yep, they do that. Thats a good reason to post it.
ronniesanders1 Posted February 8, 2010 #16 Share Posted February 8, 2010 I planned on the nasty right before the cigar on the balcony. I just hope my wife is planning the same!!!! At the same time!!!
CMM Posted February 8, 2010 #17 Share Posted February 8, 2010 Do any cruislines not allow cigar or cigarett smoking on balconies? I would look into those options closer as I would prefer not to smell it. Too bad certain areas of the ship would be for smokers and others smoke free. That way all would be happy. A&Jfamily Posted February 8, 2010 #19 Share Posted February 8, 2010 As one who hates the smell of smoke - cigar or cigarette - I have suggested that one side of the ship allow smoking on the balconies, and the other not. And as much as I hate to be driven off my balcony from the smell, I also recognize someone else's right to smoke. Would that make everyone happy?
