Any restaurant suggestions for Cozumel? My friend mentioned one place that had incredible food and margaritaz, but I'm not sure the Montezuma's made it worth it.

We're just looking for a snack and some drinks.

...stay away from overdoing cheap tequila and "Montezuma" should leave you alone. Seriously, we've never gotten sick in Cozumel and we've been going since 1998. There are things that you just don't do -- like drink tap water.

Restaurants:

Casa Denis (Mexican)

Villa Dorado (Mexican)

La Choza (yes, the palapa roof caught fire this past weekend but they're still in business and the roof will be repaired) (Yucatecan Mexican)

Tony Rome's (awesome ribs and "flamethrower" margaritas)

Guido's (delicious pizza and sangria)

Ernesto's (fajitas)

Punta Morena (to die for ceviche and fresh fish)

There are more but these are a few of our favorites that we just don't miss when we're in Cozumel.

No worries about the ice served in drinks. The water for ice is purified. If you want water, you'll need to ask for it (& pay for it) as it is bottled water.
