clockymac Posted February 20, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2010 We are booked on Arcadia sailing 19th June for Norway and Iceland. Our cabin is D186 at the aft of the ship. Having booked it, we saw a note in the Arcadia details (nowhere on the booking forms) that the aft cabins on D deck "enjoyed continuous shade". We could not understand this as the picture on the website and in the brochure show this cabin with a large balcony in the sun. Searching on Cruise Critic gave us the information that the aft of the ship had been modified in 2008 and extra cabins added above ours. Has anyone experienced this cabin to tell us how dark it is? We feel that we have been misled by P & O as they are still using old pictures that do not show the current ship. We have been on many cruises but this is our first with P & O. Johnthed0g Posted February 20, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2010 Aft cabins on Arcadia are to me the best on the ship for an "ordinary grade" fabulous view of the wake, bigger balconies, great view of ports coming & going..we had sunrise going into Venice & sunset going out. Our cabin on A deck was part in part out of the sun, shade was welcome sometimes. Don't worry you have made a good choice, handy for the restaurants too.
