What about Couples Cruises

We are curious about the lifestyle and we are thinking about taking one of these cruises. We have cruised a few times before on both RCL and Celebrity, so that aspect will not be new to us. What will be new is the theme of the cruise. We are a couple, aged 36 and 41.

What cruise line does this better?

Which line would have people closer to our age?

We would be willing to participate, but my research shows that most people who go on these cruises do not participate. Are there good chances to find like-minded people? How hard is it to find others who participate?

Thanks!

We are going on a cruise in October with 4 other couples As of now. Some are playing on the cruise, some are not.. We are members on SLS and have meet people from it that we enjoy enough to want to enjoy a vacation with them also. If your interested, we have a Facebook page for the cruise also. Send me a email to discuss details

We go on Regular Cruises too, but when we go on a LS Cruise, We only go on the FULL Ship Takeover LS Cruises, so there is a LOT more LS people on them and the whole ship's themes and Itinerary are geared to the LS!

3000+ Swingers, 1 ship, 8 days!!

The company called "Couples Cruise" has been the only one that has put about 10 these on for the past few years, but now there is another company (Bliss Cruise) that is putting one on in Nov. the next 2 years. The ones Couples Cruise put on have been AMAZING FUN!!! We love them! Have been on 3 LS Cruises and have 2 more booked. The Bliss Cruise in Nov on the Celebrity Sihlouette, and then the Couples Cruise on the MSC Divina in April 2016.

Both of these have people from 21-81!!! REALLY!! The average demographic would probably be 35-55 just because of cost and the LS.

And it's NOT hard at all to find "willing participants"!!!! LOL Between being naked on deck when not in port, the sexy theme nights, HUGE open play rooms, Themed play rooms, special entertainment, speakers, seminars, "Workshops", etc.

The whole ship is LITERALLY geared towards the LS!!

You can do EVERYTHING you want to do, and NOTHING you don't!!

No Means No. No Pressure!!

The whole ship is filled with Laid Back, Open Minded, FUN People And...........

NO F*#KING KIDS!!!! LOL

Couples Cruise maintains a site called AlreadyBooked. There you can find articles and blogs about these cruises, including tips, etiquette, and profiles of some of the people who would be your shipmates. The site is free.

You might consider the Rhine River cruise that Couples Cruise is doing in October. This will be a smaller river cruise on the Emerald Sun. There will be a high comfort level, with respect to both the accommodations and the lifestyle.

I looked into this thread partly for *curiosity* and partly because I'm wondering how do the line and employees respond to people walking around w/o clothes on maybe getting a bit frisky? I can imagine many having religious or cultural qualms about that sort of libertine behavior (strictly speaking of the staff). Is there etiquette/rules of maybe keeping the "hot action" out of the public areas?

Sorry if my Qs seem silly, I can imagine myself in a staffer's shoes and thinking "oy vey, I'm going to have to wipe that seat again" :D

I'll ask the staffers on our next cruise. I imagine the responses will be broad ranging. Meanwhile, if there are playful couples going on the Dec 13, 2015 Eclipse, lets do some late night topless hot tub fun. Judy and Elliot

Please do. I'm somewhat interested in their reactions. Although, I'm suspecting many might not really be forthcoming with you about it given the service-customer relationship and perhaps being afraid you'll tell their bosses if they somehow give a negative vibe.

Your questions are not silly at all, as most people don't understand how these types of Cruises work.

There is NO open public sex. Sexual Acts are confined to designated play areas and your own cabins. There is only nudity on Sun decks when not in port! Everyone actually Signs a "Code of Conduct" agreeing to that when Boarding! They Cruise Charter Company has Staff that work in the play rooms to hand out towels and clean, and Security that Strictly enforce these rules!!! They say that they usually have to boot someone off at every port for not following them!! IDIOTS!!

Is there lots of skin, and sexy outfits on the Theme nights (which is EVERY night!!) YES!!!!

As for the Ships own staff.....

We have talked to a lot of them, and they are give a choice whether or not they want to work ANY special Charter/Theme Cruise. ALL of the people we have talked to (Bartenders, Stewards, restaurants, etc.) have said that there is a waiting list to work these cruises!!! As Bartenders make more tips, Everyone is HAPPY, laid back, open minded and FUN, and NO KIDS!!!

Very informative! I am glad they make people sign code of conduct, not because it affects me directly, but because if they don't eventually cruise lines will start not wanting to "host" those events anymore, if things get out of hand. There's always a handful of people, regardless of group, that tends to to take things a bit too far and possibly ruining the experience for some other people and in the case of these type of cruises I can imagine privacy would be a huge deal: I'm guessing there might be LS people who might not want their likeness divulged.

At any rate, thanks for replying :)

I'm looking at Nov 2016 on the Silhouette. They ask for a deposit, which is normal, but I cannot find cancellation info anywhere on the website of Bliss. What is their cancellation policy, if one exists? This cruise is more than a year away and a lot can happen between now and then. I emailed the company but I did not yet get a response.

On their website, click on the link that says "General Information." It lists the payment schedule and cancellation policy.

Thanks. I'll check it out when I get home. I missed it when I was looking through their site.

Do non-LS couples attend these type of event or would they feel out of place/uncomfortable (nudity, obviously, is not an issue).

Do you like parties? Do you like not having kids around? Do you like dressing up in costumes for theme nights (Mardi Gras, Pirates, etc)? Do you like having different options for shore excursions such as maybe a clothing-optional catamaran ride, or a nude beach? Do you like talking to new people? If you say yes to any of these questions, you would enjoy an adults-only LS cruise, whether or not you’re actually in the LS. These kinds of cruises are really fun, whether you consider yourself part of the LS or not. The people are so friendly and you’ll meet so many more fellow passengers than you do on a regular cruise. As far as the actual LS activities, there is absolutely no pressure to participate in those. They are there if you want to see what they’re all about. If not there’s still plenty of other stuff to do- dancing, karaoke, games, shows, casino, etc.

What I say to anyone who asks this question is try one. If you don’t enjoy it, well, then you gave it a shot and it wasn’t for you. But if you like it, that’s even better.

Well ... when you put it like that, it does sound like a good time :) We'll consider it for our kid-free vacay.

I just booked for Nov 2016 on Silhouette. It seems so far away...:(

Question: Bliss has processed my deposit payment. I have a reservation ID from them, but I still need Celebrity's reservation number. When will the TA send me that?
