Just Finished Paying!!!

for me & mom's very first cruise!! :D I'm taking her for her 50th bday & 10 other family members will be sailing as well. We're sailing on Carnival Valor W. Caribbean June 27! Been paying from last year summer so it wouldn't be to much of a financial burden.

 

A couple newbie questions:

 

*What do you think about $100 per day per person for a 7 day cruise?

(don't drink alcahol or sodas, no casino, no spa, just a couple tours & tips & souvoniers (sp) Don't expect to spend all, just to have just in case.

 

*My mom & I will be in the same room, will our sail away cards be attached to different accounts? We want to make cash deposits as she doesn't have a credit card & I don't want to use mine.

Great feeling. I paid mine off a few weeks ago... just wish they would give me my cabin number :D

 

Not sure about how much OBC you'll need. We are pre-paying ours as well but I did add tips into the final payment and I've been paying for excursions along the way so OBC will pretty much be for drinks or anything we may pick up on board for the kids or ourselves. I think we've got about $600 in there now.

That amount should be ok, assuming you don't drink or gamble....if you can pay for the excursions (if you really NEED excursions to do what you want to) in advance, that would really make it easier!
