Tivo or DVR at home... no way you will get regular (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, etc) television channels.

I agree with the above, if there are shows you can't miss, set a DVR. The only up-to-date stations are news channels like CNN international and Fox News. Network-wise, the ship has CBS Eye, which runs a variety of CBS shows on an endless loop. They also have movies like Star Trek and The Soloist on repeat all week.

Nah go out and buy an 1 Terabyte external drive for your HD Tivo. Since doing this haven't had any issues with running out of space, and I am way behind on some of my shows. :)

Either go to ABC.com or any other network.com and they have the shows at least one day later. You can also go to hulu.com and watch almost any show a day later. I do it all the time on my computer. Thats for when I am away otherwise the dvr is great for when home.

Since you seem to enjoy TV, you'll get a kick out of some of the old shows that they show on the ship. Some ships show a lot of old E True Hollywood stories and Big Bang Theory episodes.

Finale of the Bachelor is Monday, this week was the women tell all show. Stephanie got the boot last week.

Carnival is the only line that I've been on that actually has TV shows playing currently. They even have live local news, from Denver! I'm on MOS for the Lost finale! I hope we don't lose power so my DVR works. Not a good time to travel. I went to Alaska in May a few years ago and missed the finale of Dancing with the stars, Survivor and American Idol. Even if I was on Carnival I don't think on a cruise I would stay in my SR and watch TV.
