I am planning to leave NYC on a Bahama cruise in the near future. I see that the Gem and Jewel both sail to the Bahamas with the same intinerary from manhattan NYC. I was wondering which of the 2 ships you prefer and why. I have not sailed on either before. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The Gem is a newer ship and has a rock climbing wall and a bowling alley.

Apart of that the ships pretty much the same.

Have been on Gem twice and it is my least favorite NCL ship.

It's fine but ??? Can't put my finger on it but like others in the line better.

Have been on Pearl. Same layout and liked it better.

Have never been on Jewel but it is the same layout as Pearl and Gem.

Think I might be going on Bahmas cruise next year out of NYC.

Will opt for Jewel just to see what it is like.;)

Same here :) Been on the Gem twice and are anxious to try the Jewel. Loved the Spirit.....nothing specific, just liked the ship better than the Gem.
