I purchased trip insurance from Viking River Cruises and was dismayed to learn that it will only cover travel actually sold by Viking. We planned to stay a few extra days in Europe (and thus bought our own air tickets) and had to get a second medical policy as the Viking policy could not be extended or cancelled.
