NY Pier question....

Recommended Posts

Sailing on 4/24 to Bermuda on Zenith and for the life of me, I cannot remember what happens to our luggage when we get to the pier. I sailed this itinerary last September and am having a senior lapse of memory!! I do not remember how far we had to handle our own luggage once we set foot at the pier! I remember walking quite a distance before we got to the embarkation area, but I don't remember if we had our luggage!!! duh!! Can anyone enlighten me???? Thanks, B

B-Anne,
We've always taken a bus from Phila. directly to the pier. The luggage was tagged at home and the porters were right there as we got off the bus. People were getting dropped off by cabs too. The farthest we had to walk after the cruise was about 20 yards over to the bus.

You're going on my favorite cruise........have fun!

Thanks all for the info! I remember getting off the ship and where we had to go, just couldn't remember when we got to the pier! For some reason I thought we handled our luggage until we were inside the building. I'm sure I'm wrong there, too!! Just don't remember porters outside. I guess I'll find out soon enough!! Thanks for the good wishes, Barb, I'm sure we'll have a great time.....B

B,
Look for a catamaran excursion that you get right outside the ship in Hamilton.....it was so much fun. We boarded to the wonderful aroma of homemade choco. chip cookies......when we got to the snorkel destination, I just floated around with one of those "noodles" floats....(not crazy about snorkeling) it was geat. The people running the excursion were very informative. The rates were about $30 per.

Barb...I already told my dd about that excursion, sounds good to me even though I don't snorkel, either!! She does, so she should enjoy it!! Can't wait, getting closer, only 7 days left!!
