So what do you pay for on Holland America Ship?

It seems to vary from Cruise Line to Cruise Line - some cruise lines charging for things like pizza...

So what do we pay for on Holland America? I know of:

1. booze (of course)

2. Sodas (seems strange to me but...)

3. Mocktails (important to me since my 20 year old daughter is traveling with us)

4. Ship Stores

5. Casino (wouldn't you love to find a free one!!)

6. Lunch/Dinner in the speciality restaurant

What else can you spend money on board?

Thanks,

Jerald

Having your cabin vacuumed.

Walking on deck.

Taking a bath.

Washing your hands.

Breathing the fresh ocean air.

Sitting by the pool.

Using a lounge chair to read a book in.

Enjoying the sunrises and sunsets.

All these things you pay for in your base cabin fee.:D

ROFL...now there's the pragmatic assessment of the business

side of the cruise industry.

They do work hard, cook and entertain us...so we all smile

at each other and we keep paying....gotta love it.:D:D:D

I think everything is included , but for some reason they always bill me at least $1000.

at the end of the cruise . Most of those charges are legitimate , but there's always a few that they throw in to see if you're paying attention . Don't worry , they won't forget any!

Maybe someday they'll give you TV access to your bill so they don't have that long line at the front desk on the last day. lmao.

You'll also pay for bottled water (as on many other cruise lines too).

You will NOT pay for cabin service (other than hopefully tipping the person who delivers it), regardless of the time of day or night that you order. That is unlike one cruise line who charges for deliveries between midnight and 5:30am. And you'll have an extensive list to choose from, unlike some other cruise lines.
