pattie63 Posted March 17, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2010 It's been a while since we've cruised on Princess (I'm very glad to be back), and I can't remember what the dress code is for non-formal nights for men. The website says "smart casual" -- slacks and open collar shirts for men. Does this mean that khaki's and polo shirts would be okay for my husband and two sons (14 and 12)? They will all be in tux or suit for formal night so I've got that covered but I just want to be sure that I have "smart casual" correct. Thanks. kywildcatfanone Posted March 17, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Yes, khaki's and polo shirts fit the definition of smart casual. That is what I wear on non-formal nights. Enjoy your cruise! Mike
Kempa Posted March 17, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Khakis and polos are OK, but the dining room might be a little chilly. I usually bring a lightweight jacket as well.
snrlnd Posted March 17, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2010 Slacks and open collar shirts are fine. I never get chilly after a day in the sun.
Labmom3 Posted March 17, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 17, 2010 My son was never cold with polo shirt on and it is what most of the teen boys wear on casual nights.
paul929207 Posted March 17, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2010 That is what I wear most evenings. I am ever cold, but my wife always is.

Asil65 Posted March 17, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 17, 2010 I think I am going to bring 3- 4 polo shirts and 3 pairs of khaki type pants for my 12 year old. Will have him just wear these clothes to dinner. He has a nice sports coat, white shirt, tie and dressier slacks for formal night. Not dealing with a tux for him. I am sure your boys will look fabulous.
