Hi Everybody

Thanks so much for all of the wonderful info for us first time cruisers. I haven't had as much time as I wished to plan for our cruise that leaves Galveston on 3-29 10. So I am asking for your help. What are your top 5 favorite things to do on the ecstacy. Or the top 5 things we shouldn't miss. Top fav meals, whatever, mix it up. I am working so much right now that I won't even have time to read these responses for a few days but, I will read them before we sail away.... Thanks in advance for making our trip so much fun!:)

You're fortunate to be sailing on the Ecstasy for a few reasons, the first and best being Steve Cassel, your CD. He's brilliant! Funny, engaged, always available he's one of the best!

Second... The Chef's Table. This amazing dining experience is ONLY available on the Ecstasy and the Carnival Dream. It's a seven course trip through the evening with a tour of the galley provided by the Chef and an amazing dinner staged in the Explorer's Library.

It's elegant, fun, informative and, at $75/pp, a bit expensive but worth every penny and more. Here's the menu:

By the way... it includes all of the wine you would care to drink, a signed copy of a very special Carnival cookbook and a group photo!!!

We did Mongolian stir fry and right next to it is the rotissierie chicken, love the chicken with the stir fry. Get BOTH.

Dont miss the free sushi if you like sushi, it right across from the opening to the casino and starts about 5 pm I think for only a couple of hours.

My dont miss thing is the country show where the CD plays the fiddle. He is wonderful and as good as anything Iv seen in Branson, so he really adds to the show.

Let your "inner child" go wild and try out the new Water Works tube!

DH and I spent all day out there with DS riding the slides, we LOVE them! They're fun for all ages! Tip - don't try to sit up, or else you won't make it to the bottom. You have to lay down. ;)

I've never seen these on any other ship (and I've looked), but I snacked on the chicken fingers at the grill all day. But nothing tastes as good as that pizza at 3 am. :D

ETA - And after the 3 am pizza, it's the ice cream cone as you walk back to your cabin at 3:15. ;)
