EMED2010 Posted March 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2010 How windy the balcony? Are you somewhat protected?
Rare Essiesmom Posted March 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2010 When the ship is moving, yes it will be windy,, more so if your balcony is forward. Not sure about the venturi effect on aft extended balconies. EM
janabm81 Posted March 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2010 I'd say the balconies are more protected from strong winds than out on the open decks. I often sit on the balcony and enjoy the light breeze at night but while in port unless the wind is blowing your way there won't be a breeze out there. cb at sea Posted March 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 30, 2010 If you sit near the cabin, it's less windy than standing at the rail....same on all of the decks...the closer to the railing, the windier it will be. If it's hot, the wind is welcome!
sackman Posted March 30, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 30, 2010 If you open your cabin door and the veranda door at the same time, you will get a lot of wind through the cabin. Otherwise, it's not too bad.
paul929207 Posted March 30, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2010 My wife doesn't like to sit in the wind. We can usually find a spot on the balcony where she is protected. Usually with her back to the from of the ship and next to or towards the ship.
