goatwife Posted April 4, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2010 We are cruising with our 2 boys (8&10) in May, and I am just wondering if kids who have sailed on Oasis are enjoying the adventure ocean programs. I am also wondering if they are lenient with letting kids move up to the older program. My boys would like to be together, but by age, will be in two different groups. Any ideas if they let kids move up? Did your kids enjoy the activities? What types of things do they do? Are they geared towards younger kids? Also, does anyone know if kids are allowed in the Solarium Bistro? I believe that the Solarium is adults only, but was wondering about the Bistro as I have heard great things about the food! Thanks for any help! Can't wait to cruise!!! Our first time!
Rare steamboats Posted April 4, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2010 My DD (10) is one of those kids you have problems to get out of AO by 10 pm :D! She really loves the program and all the activities. Activities vary: games (like GaGa Ball - a special AO game), science (volcano, bacteria and more), arts&crafts (I have a nice set of colored pillow cases and bandanas). My DD´s favorite is the egg drop. They have parties in the evening. And you can leave them with AO for dinner too (for lunch you have to pay extra). Usually the kids have to stick to their age group (mainly due to the capacity of the groups). You still can ask but don´t have too high hopes! The Solarium Bistro is open to kids. It´s the Solarium which is for adults only. steamboats
