ATV or Dune Buggy... with or without the ship?

We are thinking of doing a ATV or Dune Buggy tour??? First thing is, which should we do?? Which is more fun?

 

Second, should we book through the ship (Carnival) or with a tour guide? I have never booked out of the ship before and a lil concerned. Both are $100 a person through the ship, but money doesnt matter if we cant find a reputtable company.

We have done both by private excursions and loved both. I prefer the dune buggy as I am a small person and was a little intimidated by the ATV's but still had a great time. Either way you will have a great time. We always prefer to book privately and have never had a problem with anything. Have a great cruise.

We did Dunn's river without a guide. No problem. Our ATV guide followed us up the walkway and took a bunch of awesome pictures.

 

We all said we'd do the same tour again.

That looks great.. I like that we dont have to pay in advance and they pick us up... I may look into that one!
