NewHampshire2010 Posted April 26, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2010 My husband and I are wondering if we should get immunizations (typhoid and hepititus) for our upcoming cruise at the end of May? We are going to Labadee, Haiti, St. Martin, and Puerto Rico. My husband's brother and sister-in-law got both immunizations for their upcoming cruise in June (they are going to Mexico and South America). anharley Posted April 26, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2010 Here's a link to the CDC's (Center for Disease Control) website with vaccination information. http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/content/vaccinations.aspx It does say that Hepatitis and Typhoid vaccinations are "recommended" for areas that you are traveling to. It should also be noted that under for all of Haiti as a destination, anti-malarial drugs should be taken as a preventative. They specifically said that this includes Port Labadee travel. Check the site for further info, recommendations and guidelines.
