jlmlhc Posted May 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2010 I just got off a wonderful cruise on the Mariner of the Seas - wasn't sick at all on the ship but since I got home I feel like I'm still on the boat - dizzy and feeling like the world is rocking and rolling - it's gotten slightly better each day. Has anyone else had this happen and how long do I wait before heading to the doctor?
cb at sea Posted May 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Yeah--that happens sometimes! It will go away in about a week or two. There's really no need to go to the doctor, unless it's really making you unable to function. You might want to try a Benadryl, if you can take them...sometimes, that helps! May4 Posted May 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Yep! I've experienced the same thing, especially if I close my eyes. It doesn't last more than a day or two though. Good luck.:)
uppitycats Posted May 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Yes, it happened to me on my most recent cruise. It took about 3 days, then went away, for the most part. For the next day or two, if I turned my head quickly I could still bring up the sensation. But after a week it was gone entirely.
ajenali Posted May 12, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2010 Happened to me also on my last cruise in March. I took dramamine for a few days and was just fine. :)
jamers22 Posted May 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted May 12, 2010 I've heard about this also. If I remember correctly you can take dramamine or whatever sea sick meds and should help. I can only imagine how aggravating this is for you.
