Gordo Posted May 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2010 We have read that there are weight restrictions on checked bags for inter-island flights in French Polyneisa. We will be flying to Tikehau after a Princess cruise and were wondering how strictly they enforce the baggage weight restriction. And if enforced, any idea on the charges? In addition, any issues with carryon weight? We are trying to figure out how careful we really need to be with our packing. Thanks for your assistance. Seal Posted May 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2010 Unfortunately it's the luck of the draw--I try to go by the rules--I had a heavy carry-on last fall--paid extra--took out as much as I could--what a mess---others can take all their luggage--we store ouras at the flower shop across the road from the airport--The only thing know for sure is that you are allowed extra weight for diving equipment. We usually take Air Tahiti to Bora Bora--and I REALLY try to follow the rules... the weight restrictions are on the internet sites for each airline Nancy:D
