yogimax Posted May 22, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2010 Interesting to see that RCCL is expanding it's Jamaican presence in Falmouth.
cruisinfanatic Posted May 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2010 Ocho Rios is the closest at around 40 or 50 miles away. Falmouth and Montego Bay further. RCL wouldn't go there if there was danger.

Mark_K Posted May 22, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 22, 2010 Just saw this article regarding Jamaica... http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/americas/05/22/jamaica.travel.alert/index.html?eref=igoogle_cnn That article is regarding the Kingston area not Jamaica generally. No RCI ships stop there.

Twaincruisers Posted May 23, 2010 #8 Share Posted May 23, 2010 Kingston has almost always been a problem area in Jamaica but cruise ships don't usually have anything to do with that part of the country. In areas where cruisers usually go there can be theft problems but mostly it is just harassment by people who want to sell you something. Just keep moving, keep an eye on your stuff, and there should be no problem! :) Take an excursion on the water and relax!
