Is it David Pepper? Actually he might be on the Sun. I remember reading this not long ago but I cant find the information now.

 

Im hanging out to find out who the CD will be on the Pearl on its arrival.

At the moment it is Paul Hancox (England). Zoltina-J is scheduled to take over from Paul when his contract is finished which I think might be later in the year.

The current CD on Pacific Jewel is a pommy lady named Sara-Jane. Paul was the CD for the QLD coastal cruise with Sara-Jane taking over for the 14 night cruise. She will be CD until Zoltina-J transfers. Anyone sailing on PJ for the next couple of months should take their ear protection as she likes everything LOUD :mad:

It was great also catching up with you and Jim, it certainly helped pass the time spent at the airport! Our flight arrived in Brisbane 10 minutes early which was nice, but we have to head back to the airport this morning as we left the navigation chart in the rental carpark! Luckily, when Anthony rang Europcar, it was still there. Anthony said insurance would cover it, but it wouldn't get us the chart back lol.

David finished his contract on 24th May and he told us (passengers on the Tahitian Treasures cruise) that he's be on leave until August. He also told us that he wasn't sure which ship his new contract would be with.

 

I don't know if the Assistant Cruise Director, Cole (from Tauranga?? NZ) will continue on as Assistant CD or if they'll "promote" him to CD in David's absence.

Hope Zoltina is not reading any of these catty comments,, I speak to her on facebook and she finds all these negative comments very hurtful. When you can step into her shoes and do the difficult job she does then maybe you can comment. She has been with P&O for 2 years now so she must be doing something right... Dont know what you expect from a CD Honestly!!!! Get a life

After all the negative comments left about Zoltina in 2009, I was prepared for the worst when embarking on my cruise in November last year. To my surprise, I found her to be a fantastic, attentive and entertaining cruise director, nothing like how many CruiseCritic members described her. Maybe it was a different Zoltina? Who knows.

 

Anyone on W933 would have experienced one of the most hilarious gameshow incidents involving Zoltina. I probably can't go into the details here... but the audience didn't stop laughing with her (and at her obvious embarassment) for the rest of the show. She could barely hold herself together the next morning during her regular television appearance. Those who saw what happened.... well.... you know why.

 

I suppose everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but hopefully we can all agree that the performance of a cruise director doesn't really make or break the entire voyage. I'm hopefully going to be on the Jewel mid next year, so hope to see her then!

I am going to say i have been on the Pacific Dawn 5 times and ZJ has been Cruise Director on 4 of those Cruises.. I think she is absolutely fantastic and i am booked on the Melbourne Cup cruise and i am glad that she is going to be the CD..

I wouldnt do her job for all the tea in china as i find it hard to keep the family happy (3 of them) let alone 2000 guests on a cruise ship it would be a nightmare and i think she does it with professionalism and style and good on her...

I can't say what Zoltina is like as a person as I have never really spoken to her...but she seems nice enough. However, as a CD, I'm not over fussed on her. A CD should be seen out & about but the only times I have seen her (and she has been CD on 2 of our cruises) were introducing the shows (and she missed one of them once...evryone was waiting). Even the "survivor" challenge on one of those cruises (didn't go to the other so don't know) were advertised as being hosted by her but there was no sign of her.

Maybe I was spoilt by having Demo as my first CD. He was always around wanting to now what passengers wanted etc. I'm not saying he pleased everyone.......but he tried.

I know ZJ is going to be CD on our B2B cruises in Sept & I have decided that I'm going to go out of my way to see/speak to her.......so we'll see what happens:)

I also looked her up on facebook and shes not on our cruise as the cruise director she joins on july 18th...

We had Sandy Cadwallader on our previous cruise and he was very good and as I had read a lot of negative comments about ZJ I was wondering what she wouyld be like. We only saw her at events in the show lounge, but I thought she was fun! She had everyone in stitches at times.

 

She said she is going to the Jewel the cruise after today's cruise and Bobbi, who is 'training' to be a CD, is also going to the Jewel. I asked one of the dancers who was going to be CD on the Dawn and he said Paul ..... (didn't know his last name). I tried Bingo which Bobbi was running and found her to be likeable but a bit silly. In fact it quite put me off Bingo (apart from getting nowhere!!! :()

I remember him in 2001 as the gym trainer aboard the old Crown Princess! It was our first cruise and we kind of became gym rats. He was so much fun and ran endless classes (for free in those days) and a group of about 15 or so of us just hung out there.

 

I wish I knew how to contact him....I have several photos from our last aerobics class where he gave out "awards" to many of us who had stuck it out with him during the entire 10-day Panama Canal cruise.

 

Anyone know a way to contact a cruise director and is it for sure that he is on the Dawn?
