tertelman Posted June 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2010 Hey everyone, My wife and I have an interior cabin (booked via Fun Saver) for a Sept. 5 sailing of the Valor. We are interested in possibly upgrading to a balcony cabin. Any thoughts on whether it would make sense to wait a while to see if we can get a discounted upgrade closer to September? If we don't end up getting a balcony, it won't be the end of the world -- we don't plan to be in the room much anyway. But if we can get it at a discount, we'd probably jump on it. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!
LisaT12 Posted June 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2010 Just keep checking the prices...when it hits a price you are happy with change at that time. Or if you change now, and are still in the early saver rate, you will continue to get the lower price if -- the price goes down -- and you contact them. gazingm42 Posted June 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2010 We have also played the upgrade game as well. But it really depends on every sailing. There too many factors to tell you a yes or no. Sometime you find the Balconies will sell out very early. Other times they will have some 3 days before you sail. It comes down to supply and demand. If you booked via ES you can upgrade and if it should drop you can request the OBC on the difference. That is what we have done this time and we awaiting our OBC to our account for $260.00. tertelman Posted June 2, 2010 Author #4 Share Posted June 2, 2010 Thanks for the responses. I booked using Fun Saver, so I have not been assigned a cabin yet, but it will be an interior. I guess I'll just sit tight and wait until we get closer.
Ken076 Posted June 2, 2010 #5 Share Posted June 2, 2010 If the OP booked Fun Saver, they're not Early Saver. ken
