Stateroom # – 1600

Stateroom Category – OS

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Mostly yes. Only noise occurred during rough seas when the deck chairs on the deck about us moved around.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? – No

Balcony View – Yes

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? – Fine (please note that OS Balconies on Voyager class ships are on the smaller side because there is extra space (with a large window) in the bedroom.)

Was wind a problem? – No, very comfortable

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? – N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? – Shower door didn't close completely, but not a big deal.

Ship - Adventure of the Seas

Deck - 6

Stateroom # - 6575

Stateroom Category – PR

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Noisy, Noise from Pub entertainment directly underneath. Continued until 1:30 am every night except on the entertainers day off. Same repetoire, we knew all the songs by the end of the cruise.

Also adjoining cabin, we could hear every word spoken and didn't need the sound on our TV. Fortunately our neighbours were out most of the time.

On the plus side, we could hardly hear the entertainers on the promenade.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes

View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – View of Royal Promenade was good.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Next to service area but no noise from there even during luggage handling.

Any other comments? Customer services were very good when we complained.

Ship - Brilliance

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 1598

Stateroom Category – JS

Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Normal click and clacks from the neighbors, but pretty quiet overall. On the balcony you can hear an occasional sound from the windjammer above.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Obstructed view but a great balcony. Obstruction hurts nothing and the balcony is oversized.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - BIG

Was wind a problem? - Nope

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Nope

Any other comments? - Last cabin before the stern, so it is about a 75-90 second walk from the stairs. Doesn't sound that bad, but if you have any mobility issues I would not take this cabin. We got used to the walk right away and embraced it is "lame exercise."

It's a great cabin! Huge closet, big bathroom, newly refurnished (this was written 12/13). No balcony neighbors aft so very private. We loved the cabin.

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – We heard talking in the hallway a few times after 10 PM, but it wasn't a big deal. On the first day, our next door neighbors argued and carried it out to their balcony. We were sitting on ours watching sailaway. Pretty sad...Never heard another peep after that.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Great view on the center hump. Prime spot.

Balcony Size? Normal

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Toilet stopped flushing on the fourth day but was promptly fixed.

Any other comments? - Nice room but I look forward to my cruise on her again after the refurbish. Worn carpets and old TV's need to go.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Other than being a little bit creaky (creaky noises) when we had movement, no.

Any other comments? - It is a forward cabin so you do feel some movement if that worries you. It is a great location close to the forward elevators. My children were in 3030 and they noticed some noise from the service room directly opposite but I didn't notice that being in 3028.

Ship – Legend of the Seas

Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 8556

Stateroom Category – JS

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? Very noisy doing the day with chairs and tables being moved and carts rolling back and forth across the above deck, as the stateroom was located on the deck below the Solarium near the Park Café. The metal panels in the ceiling squeaked when the seas were a bit rough.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? No

Balcony View? 180 degree ocean view. Great for watching other ships and sea life (turtles, porpoises, jelly fish and manta rays)

Balcony Size? Balcony was normal for the size of the stateroom.

Was wind a problem? No and we had a couple of windy days (40 knots).

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? N/A

Any other comments? There was lots of storage for belongings in the room, as we had four suitcases. The suitcases did not fit under the bed, but there was plenty of room behind the chairs and in the closet to store the bags. The raised sink was small and it was difficult to wash hands due to the position of the faucet. It was easier to fill the sink with water first, then wash hands in the sink. The positive was the bathroom had a bath tub. But, there was limited head room with the dropped ceiling over the bath tub (about 6 feet total from bottom of tub to ceiling) for showering purposes. It was fine for me, but my 6’1 significant other had to slouch a bit. He still liked it better than the narrow shower in previous staterooms. On the days the sun was on our side of the ship, we had to pull the drapes closed to keep the cabin cool. Overall, the junior suite is a good size room, but if you want to snooze during the day or are a light sleeper, this cabin would be very noisy.

Ship - Liberty of the Seas

Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 8698

Stateroom Category – D1

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes. This cabin feels very private (see notes under balcony view)

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Great view. Last balcony cabin on port side. Two interior cabins to the left of the cabin, balcony room to the right, which results in having balcony neighbors only on one side.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - This balcony feels a bit larger as there is some extra space on the left side due to the structure of the ship.

Was wind a problem? - No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No.

Any other comments? - We love this cabin because of only having balcony neighbors on one side. There is a little more "floor space" on it because of the structure of the ship and the two interiors on the left.

Ship - Explorer

Deck -7

Stateroom # 7688

Stateroom Category – E-1

Starboard or Port Side -Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Yes, there was an obstruction in the back of the ship, but it did not bother me and the large porthole on the side made up for the obstruction.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? -Way oversized. I was thrilled with this balcony.

Was wind a problem? - Not for me.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No soot, but did find a couple cigarette butts on the balcony from someone that had thrown them overboard and happened to land on my balcony. Shouldn't be a problem after Jan. 2014

Any specific problems with this cabin? - I had no problems at all and would highly recommend this cabin on any Voyager class ship.

Any other comments? - Just got off the Explorer today and I had bought some battery operated lights to put up on the porthole and railing at the porthole. Really nice Christmas touch. I used magnetic clips and some duct tape to hold them up. Picture below.

Was wind a problem? - Very little.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No

Any other comments? Balcony is very private. Steel and hull section on both sides, sort of like a cave. Seen it referred to a cove balcony here on the boards.

Ship - Independence

Deck - 9

Stateroom # -

9268

Stateroom Category – Junior Suite

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Did not hear anything above us, but heard a toddler yelling from 2 doors down.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -

No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – No obstruction, great views

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? - No, and it was very windy during our sailing

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? - On day 4 a leak developed right next to the bathroom in the cabin. I think it was coming from the bathtub and on day 6 they came and caulked the area, but I'm not convinced it worked. The dampness caused a musty odor in the room by the end of the trip.

Ship - Radiance of the Sea

Deck[/B] - 7

Stateroom # - 7670

Stateroom Category – E2

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – quiet at end of hall

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - no

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Balcony is an obstructed view with wall on right side and not able to see down to water; as well as it is at the end of the hall; there is a small bit of view blockage next to the wall from a beam on the right side;

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - size of the balcony is bigger than the balconies in the middle and goes out about twice the amount-you could fit a lounger beside the table and 2 chairs, in fact. It was nice having a large balcony.

Was wind a problem? - not at all

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - is very much an aft cabin, but no soot or smoke

Any specific problems with this cabin? - normal size cabin with a love seat not a couch.

Any other comments? - With the wall beside you on the balcony, it gave more privacy. We put the ladder hanging in the closet on the floor on the back of the closet, as it rattles.

Ship - Oasis of the Seas

Deck - 10 Boardwalk Aft

Stateroom # - 10329

Stateroom Category – B1

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Little to no problems. You do hear the AquaTheatre Oasis of Dreams Show, but what a great view of it so was out enjoying it anyway. During the day heard a sound check once, about 10am.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – This is a Boardwalk balcony right at the aft. Great view of the ocean, the AquaTheatre, the start of the ZipLine, and down the Boardwalk. Yes, you can see others on their balconies, or look into cabin across should you want. I sat out there a lot - it didn't bother me. For those interested in bed/closet placement -- bed it closer to balcony.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal for a Boardwalk.

Was wind a problem? - No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No.

Any other comments? - This is a great cabin. You get the views of the ocean. It can be a long walk but no different than another ship if you have an aft cabin -- so don't forget anything! I'd book it again.

Are pics allowed? Here's one during one of the afternoon diving shows.

Ship - Legend of theSeas

Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 8580

Stateroom Category – JS

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – For the most part, pretty quiet as it was so far aft. Regarding the sun deck above us, I imagine it was staff move the loungers around extremely early in the morning as we often heard scraping above us. it wouldn't last too long, so not really an issue.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Corner aft - NOT A WRAPAROUND

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - oversized (two loungers, a chair and a table)

Was wind a problem? - Not really - it was a caribbean sailing

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - Soot wasn't a problem. On Deck 9 right above us, was an outside sun deck with deck chairs (to access this you had to walk thru the gym. It was almost a secret deck.

Any specific problems with this cabin? -

Any other comments: On the port side deck 8 aft there is an interior staircase that opens at 6am ish that leads to the Park Cafe (thru the spa doors). Very convenient to grab you early morning coffee or light breakfast.

Ship - Serenade (Mediterranean sailing)

Deck - Ten

Stateroom # - 1598 (mirrors 1098)

Stateroom Category – Junior Suite (partially Obstructed View)

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? No I don't think so

Balcony View - This cabin is next to the corner aft Grand Suite. So its the last cabin on the starboard side. I wouldn't consider this an obstructed view because this balcony is far more wider than the other JS balconies. The rolling service ladder is way off to the side. it doesn't interfere with the normal size balcony square footage, it gives you more and also provides an large extra footage on the balcony which is now covered, so you can take a nice nap out there if you don't want to be in the sun. And plenty of sunny balcony area when you want. I actually received this cabin as an upgrade but would certainly chose it again and pay for it!! :D

If you watch the Radiance class JS balconies these are always the last to go. They shouldn't be ignored. Awesome Balconies.

Balcony Size? VERY BIG

Was wind a problem? - NEVER

Any specific problems with this cabin? - It would be considered a long walk for some.

Ship - Allure of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 10596

Stateroom Category – D1

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – View was typical for a mid-ship cabin. No obstructions.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Balcony was oversized due to this being a 'bump' cabin. Lots of sun. Comes equipped with two small chairs and a table, but there is plenty of room for lounge chairs if you can get them there.

Was wind a problem? - Not at all.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No problems, and this cabin has the bed near the balcony, which is preferable to the bed being near the closet. The cabin is kind of between elevators so there is a bit of a walk to get to one. This really wasn't an issue for us, may be for someone who is mobility-challenged.

Ship – Freedom of the Seas

Deck - 2

Stateroom # - 2638

Stateroom Category – I (outside)

Starboard or Port Side – not sure

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet! Even though this was the first room off the elevator (so convenient by the way) we never heard any foot noise.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – N/A

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? – N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - None

Any other comments? –This cabin was on deck 2 so it was very easy getting on and off the ship when in port. Also easy to use the stairs to get to the Royal Promenade as well as our dining room, casino, theater, etc.

Stateroom # - 1752

Stateroom Category – L1 Crown Loft Suite

Starboard or Port Side - Starbord

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very. We could not see or hear the sports courts from our room. Plus our hall (card access only) was very quiet.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – View was amazing - no obstructions. 17 stories up. In port we had great views of the islands.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Not as big as Grand Suite Balcony due to width of cabin. It had 2 full loungers, and was roomy.

Was wind a problem? - no

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? -

Any other comments? -Best room we have stayed in. 2 story windows made views great. The down side, the room was so nice you ended up spending a lot of time in it doing nothing, instead of out and about.
