Ship - Navigator

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 1388

Stateroom Category – Superior Ocean View Balcony

Starboard or Port Side - Corner Aft

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very uite

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Aft view with some obstruction due to ship structure but did not affect our enjoyment of the balcony.

Balcony Size - Very large. It had 2 loungers, 2 chairs and a side table and still lots of room.

Was wind a problem? -No, in fact it would have been nice to have a breeze on a couple of very hot days.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No, not at all.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Bit of walk to the evelvators but we didn't mind as it helped to burn off calories.

Any other comments? - This cabin is more of a square shape and has about the same square footage as a JS. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and had tons of space.

Ship: Jewel of the Seas

Deck: 8

Stateroom #: 8012

Stateroom category: E1

Starboard or Port?: Port

Quiet stateroom?: Yes - this was one of the most impressive features if this stateroom. We didn't hear any noise at all.

Was it a connecting stateroom?: No

Balcony view?: Very nice. As this was our first cruise, we have nothing to compare it to, but amazing views of the ocean and ports.

Balcony size?: Similar to the rest in this category as far as we could tell. Two chairs one small table.

If aft cabin, was soot a problem?: N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin?:

At the risk of creating a negative tread, I feel compelled to voice my one and only complaint of my entire cruise. We had smokers on both sides. The ones upwind from us were chain smokers, which rendered the balcony somewhat unusable.

Ship - Allure of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 593

Stateroom Category – C2

Starboard or Port Side - Middle I believe...

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes! Super quiet!

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - yes, we connected with some family members whom were next door.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – yes, it was a beautiful view of Central Park and it was gorgeous. No obstructions and it was a rather peaceful sitting spot for reading or having lunch. People watching wasn't too bad either. The balcony had a conjoining divider that the stateroom attendant could unlock so we could have a conjoining balcony with our family next door.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal sized. First balcony I've stayed in.

Was wind a problem? - We found that if we had the balcony door open and we went to shut the door to the stateroom, it would cause the door to the stateroom to slam.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -

Any specific problems with this cabin? - The spacing would get a bit tight when the sofa bed would be pulled out and during the morning and at night. Other than that, it wasn't too bad.

Any other comments? - I was very impressed with our cabin in Central Park, it was only a matter of going downstairs two decks for food. It also made for a rather peaceful get away for naps and for just having a quiet moment on the balcony mid day.

Ship - Mariner

Deck - 6

Stateroom # - 6328

Stateroom Category – E1

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet, never heard our neighbors or anyone in the hallway.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – LOVED the balcony! The angle of the end of the "hump" created a "wind-block" that came in handy when we sat out there to read a book. Also, we appreciated the third chair for our daughter. Plenty of room for all of us! :D

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - One side seemed a little wider.

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No problems at all.

Any other comments? -This was our first hump cabin and we really loved the location. That end of the hallway has about 3 feet of "extra wall" that sticks out. It was perfect for our suitcases on the last night.

Our travelling companions will be in this cabin when we are in 6300 in April. Thanks for the review.

Ship - Independence of the Seas

Deck - 10

Stateroom # - 1702

Stateroom Category – D1

Starboard or Port Side - Aft

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Extremely quiet

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Aft view was amazing.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - HUGE. Had room for two regular chairs, a table, two loungers, and one other oversized chair.

Was wind a problem? - No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - No.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No.

Any other comments? -The superstructure was bit distracting, but after the first day or so, I didn't notice it. Could see down into balconies below you if you stood at the rail. Mostly shaded, but some sun depending on what direction the ship was traveling and the time of day. Loved this cabin.

Balcony view (docked in Fort Lauderdale)

Balcony Size - Normal

Was wind a problem? -No, it was perfect

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - It was a little bit of a walk but we don't like that.

Any other comments? - It was my hubby and I and 16 year old son. He slept on the sleeper sofa. It was tight with 3 of us, but any cabin would be. With all the teen programs, we hardly saw him!

Ship - Legend of the Seas

Deck - 7

Stateroom # - 7024

Stateroom Category – D1 (Superior Oceanview)

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes even though it's near the stairs and the elevator. Probably because I don't recall hearing kids running around.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -Yes with 7022 but I did not book both staterooms.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Just like the ordinary Port side balcony with a table and 2 chairs. After its revitalization, there seems to be a new row of balconies on Deck 9 and there's an existing shelter over Deck 5 so you can't really look 90 degrees down to the ocean or up to the sky but view was not blocked by anything. You could catch the Port side of the bridge.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal.

Was wind a problem? -Not affecting anything for me. sitting at the balcony will let you receive some wind but you don't get much if you're not sitting by the railing.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - N.A.

Any specific problems with this cabin? - In the particular cabinet that has the mini fridge, I noticed a hole at the bottom of the cabinet.

Any other comments? - Never liked the curtain shower and even after revitalisation, Legend is still using the curtains.

On embarkation day and disembarkation day there will be a slight problem of baggage clogging up the corridor outside this cabin because of its proximity to the elevators and stairs.

Loved the new flat-screen TV. Much better than the old box ones and the new tv hanging rack allows you to pull it out and turn facing the balcony or the bed. Quite good!

Lastly, a mini Cabin Pano view of one side of the cabin as attached.

Ship - Grandeur of the Seas Deck - 8

Stateroom # - 8500

Stateroom Category – RS

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Very quiet.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Excellent - no obstructions

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Small considering the overall size of the suite

Was wind a problem? - No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? - No

Any other comments? - Located directly behind the bridge. Access to the bridge is across the hall. No traffic and if you were docking on the starboard side in a port you could see the officers on the wing to pilot the ship into the port. Bed is a full king but does not split. Sofa bed in living area was comfortable.

Ship - Liberty of the Seas

Deck - 6

Stateroom # - 6263

Stateroom Category – Promenade Room

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Overall, yes. The very first night there was a DJ playing music in the promenade that was easily heard in our room. It ended at 11pm though.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes (to 6261).

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Nope.

Any other comments? - We loved our cabin. The proximity to the elevators and being mid-ship was fantastic. The deck number was great too. We could walk down a flight or two of stairs for the promenade, theater, casino, etc. Short elevator ride to the lido deck (or only five flights of stairs when we felt like it)!

Ship -Independence Of The Seas

Deck - 6

Stateroom # - 6125

Stateroom Category – N

Starboard or Port Side -Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Noisy on and off especially from around 10pm until 12 pm.{ aprox}

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -N/A

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – N/A

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal.

Was wind a problem? -

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Noise as noted above.

Any other comments? - Noticed the noise on first night of 13 day cruise. Called desk second night, maintenence came promptly and informed us that it could be wind or weather related. We were not convinced that was the case. That said the noise sort of a steady rumble did cease around or just after midnight. The noise was also audible in the bathroom shower area.

We did not change rooms because we liked the location very handy to the promenade coffee shops. The noise may be a problem for some passengers.

Ship - Allure of the Seas

Deck - 12

Stateroom # - 12174

Stateroom Category – D2

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Quiet Stateroom?- Mostly yes, but neighbors' door slamming was pretty obnoxious and could hear through door in connecting stateroom. Not as silent as I was hoping but still pretty decent.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - Yes

Balcony View - Unobstructed view but sometimes felt like I was being watched by the people in the cantilevered hot tub when I was leaning out on the railing!

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal.

Was wind a problem? - no

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? - no

Any specific problems with this cabin? - nope

Any other comments?

Was surprised to find we had a chair instead of a sofa, which I figured was a result of the connecting stateroom door, but I swear they could have squeezed a loveseat in there... Configuration was bed next to balcony. Just two decks down from the Solarium and around the corner from the elevators. Very convenient location.

Stateroom category: D1

Starboard or Port?: Starboard? (Right side facing forward)

Quiet stateroom?: Yes - with exception of noisy balcony neighbors.

Balcony size?: Good size. Two chairs & one large table. Seemed to be an upgrade over table & chairs that we could see on lower balconies.

If aft cabin, was soot a problem?: N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin?:

None. Location was very convenient for Windjammer and pools.
