kecoco Posted July 6, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2010 I have a superior suite booked on the Eurodam and comtemplating upgrading to a deluxe suite. Other than being larger is there a significant difference in the two pertaining to service, amenities, ship experience etc. Basically, I am trying to determine if the extra cost is worth it...thanks for your help. Krazy Kruizers Posted July 6, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 6, 2010 Welcome to Cruise Critic. We always book an SA -- we love the Neptune Lounge -- that is not available to those who book the superior cabins. The concierges take care of a lot of little things like booking tours, making reservations, exchanging money, etc. If you haven't sailed 200 days on HAL then you will not have use of the free laundry and dry cleaning which is available only in the PS, SA, SB and SC categories. gsebast Posted July 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2010 The Neptune lounge is really a nice feature, and we also liked the fact that we could take breakfast in the Pinnacle. The service was great. You also get the free laundry, as well as a few lunches, or receptions with the Captain and his staff. I agree that the Neptune lounge service is really worth the upgrade. taxmantoo Posted July 23, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 23, 2010 For Superior Suites, we prefer Deck 6 as it is protected from above and below with staterooms, reducing the noise. Some people prefer Deck 8, but we don't like being immediately under the Lido deck as noise does filter down from either the pool area (staff cleaning the deck and moving chairs) or the Lido buffet area with constant coming and going. Some people have commented not hearing anything while others have commented on noise. We would rather not take that chance and find Deck 6 quite nice. johndmoser Posted July 23, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 23, 2010 We recently had SB6060 for the Baltic Gems cruise, and it was really worth it. I wish we could have had an SA cabin on deck 7, but they were all taken. The Neptune Lounge certainly enhanced the experience.

Hello there, George. :) I heartily agree. Breakfast in the Pinnacle (unhurried and uncrowded) is wonderful. Neptune Lounge is a real bonus. Those two amenities alone make the upgrade worthwhile. m steve Posted November 3, 2010 #11 Share Posted November 3, 2010 The deal was so good that it was about the same as we usually pay for a balcony. This will be our first time in that type of cabin. Now we only have to wait to get the cabin number.
Typhoon1 Posted November 3, 2010 #12 Share Posted November 3, 2010 It is worth the extra expense to be able to enjoy the many services offered by the Neptune Lounge.
