WestTxCruiser Posted July 22, 2010 Author #204 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Sadly, our day at Nachi is coming to an end. We gathered our belongings, tipped our waiter and bartenders, did a head count......would hate to leave somebody behind in a place like that.:p We walked back out to the front and there was a taxi waiting. Now remember earlier when I mentioned the cabs will only take 9 people maximum........well.....I guess there is an exception to every rule. It's called stuff the boys in the back Cab rides are always so much more entertaining when your with a group Now there is a catch to having 11 people in the cab.....the driver said he could not pull up to the front of the loading/unloading area where the cabs are......so we had to walk a little bit further, but no biggie. WestTxCruiser Posted July 22, 2010 Author #206 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Back at the port, we all went our seperate ways to do our shopping. Just a little side note here for those of you who like to or want to purchase medications while your there...... Tina has a friend who uses an inhaler that costs him $40 at home, she was able to get them for about $10 each over there.....and No it was not claimed on the Customs Form, just pack in the suitcase with everything else. No Problems. We were to meet up at the bar when we were done, not the Three Amigo's one, but the one that is kind of like Senor Frogs.....can't remember the name of it. But this is it Cerveza Anyone!!! WestTxCruiser Posted July 22, 2010 Author #207 Share Posted July 22, 2010 What's a proper tip for Nachi? We usually tip our waiter $20 to $30, and the bartender $10. This time was a little different for us cuz we were in the pool more than we were out on the beach......but we never had an empty beer, so everyone got good tips!! WestTxCruiser Posted July 22, 2010 Author #209 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Time to head back to the ship......don't wanna be one of those last minute pier runners. Back on the ship we head to our cabin to drop off our stuff, then up to Lido for our last sailaway.:( Well, I was greeted in the hall by Tina.....and she said "your gonna be so MAD at me"........uhm.....WHY? Did you lose my daughter? She took Tara back to the ship while we were at the bar. Nope, Tara was accounted for....... The other thing that was accounted for........the missing toiletry bag...........guess where it was???? In one of Tina's suitcases, underneath the bed. We laughed, then I remembered that I had taken these two smaller bags out of another bag and put them in the front pocket of Tina's suitcase that had water in it. She had pulled the suitcase out to get some water out of it and felt something in the front of it.....imagine her surprise when she opened it up!:p Life is good, let's go to Lido and sailaway! WestTxCruiser Posted July 22, 2010 Author #214 Share Posted July 22, 2010 I guess Nachi got the best of most of our gang. John and Bagus had a pretty easy night tonight.....this was it for dinner I think Nachi got the best of Tara too, but she didn't have a choice.....she had to go to dinner. This was our 6th cruise, and I will say that there has only been a couple of things that I have ordered that I really did not care for. I have read some reviews where people say the food was horrible, no choices, etc......we have never experienced that. One of the times I ordered something that I didn't care for, the waiter was upset at me because I wouldn't order something else.......I told him I was really full, between bread and appetizer and booze. They really want you to be happy. A little more food porn.... After dinner it was our usual, change clothes, Tara to Camp Carnival and Momma and Daddy to the Casino. Tonights Youth Experience was Kids Just Wanna Stay Up for the younger kids Midnight Basketball for 12-14 Mexican Fiesta Party for 15-17 Mike and I hit the Blackjack table, we got lucky that we found a table that was No Smoking. I had a really hard time in September in the Casino because the smoke was so bad. Even smoker friends of mine said it was bad then. This time it wasn't as bad, but was happy to be at a No Smoking. We had a lot of fun, in spite of this crazy, totally obnoxious, mildly over served lady. Just an example....she hit on 17, 18 and 19......she would double down on 15, 16 and 17. It was an interesting evening, we both walked away winners though!! Tonight was a pretty late night, I think it was almost 2 when we picked Tara up. :o Tomorrow, our Last Day at Sea......and Tara's Birthday Celebration. zachnlucy Posted July 22, 2010 #215 Share Posted July 22, 2010 I'm now checking this thread two or three times a day. Thanks Julie for this great stuff and fantastic tips. I have a question. I see where you said Thursday (Cayman) was the second elegant night. What's the first? And can you explain the difference between elegant and formal? Thanks. I have a question. I see where you said Thursday (Cayman) was the second elegant night. What's the first? And can you explain the difference between elegant and formal? Thanks. The first elegant/formal night is Monday night. They use to call it formal night, now they call it elegant night.....no difference......dress up, get pretty, take lots of cool pics, eat some good food and enjoy it.:D For us it's something that we do not do when we are at home.....so we do not mind at all on the cruise. Will probably be tomorrow morning before I can do anymore, so tune in tomorrow. Should wrap it up.....bout time, huh?:o:p
