DanL Posted July 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2010 We will be going to Capri on a Saturday in October. I understand you can take the tram to Capri & take a bus or taxi to Anacapri. I also understand that the tram line can be long/time consuming, especially on weekends. Our objective is to beat the crowds to Anacapri, so looking for transportation directly from Marina Grande. Can you take the bus from Marina Grande to Anacapri? How often does it leave? Will taxis be available at Marina Grande? There will be 4 of us so maybe a taxi (if available) is the way to go. Any idea of prices for taxi to Anacapri? Thanks for the help. Dan
Jdell Posted July 9, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2010 I want to say the taxi is approx. 15 euros. It's a very quick ride--5-7 minutes. If it's an expense you're not worried about, I'd say taxi over bus. The buses get very crowded and there are a few hairpin turns on the way if you have to stand. Plus, the taxis are cool. Convertibles with canopied tops.
ddpe Posted July 10, 2010 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2010 October may be better than we went, but the bus line was a ZOO. A taxi was so much better. We zipped right to Anacapri.
