Good morning everyone!!!

Well the sun is not out (boo!!) but it is not raining (yay!!!!)

Hey Jerzgirl!!! Is this not the most amazing cruise!!?? She is on the cruise with me....you were up late with that post, Tee...lol!!

In fact she was one of the section leaders at the Quest last night where I will begin my report.....and what I will blame for my EXHAUSTION this morning! It was, as aways, a BLAST!!! So so funny!!! Never never miss this show....it is different every time (yet the same lol) and never fails to keep you hysterical! It ended about 1am and hubby and I were WIRED, so we hit the casino and got in after 2 or 2:30am...who can keep track anymore!!;) We had a 7am wake up call because we have the bridge tour at 9am. If the sun is out (plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) after it, I will hit the pool for a few hours and then we will get off and go shopping (not going to do Orient Beach as it is so iffy out....sadness appears about that...but then leaves), if no sun is out and not pool weather, we will go shopping right away. Will be a busy day, and a busy night. I am sooo sad already that it is day 5!!!! :(:(

Last night was soooooooooo awesome...Chops, Headliner Show, Quest.....can't ask for much more (yes, Richard's dance is on utube!! I am laughing as I type picturing him!!)

Someone asked about rocking. Like I mentioned, we hit 50-80 mile an hour winds and I am on deck 12. I felt the movement, you saw the movement, but didn't "feel" it. I get severe motion sickness and I felt 100% perfect! We were swaying, not rolling. This is a ship that knows what it is doing.:D

I plan to go on this ship in December, but a few questions after reading these posts:

- does this ship sell out or can i buy the cruise like 1 month before sailing with no problems?

- does it often rain in the Caribbean the way it almost always rains in Florida? If that is the case then the Caribbean seems like a bad or at least risky choice for a cruise due to rain risk...

- I tried to get on a chat forum on Royal Caribbeans official site, and it says i have to have this special crown status or whatever just to get a message board? STUPID... am I missing something? I can't become a crown member because you have to have cruised with them first... DUMB..

1. Depends on the week. In general, the ship is full, and prices are not dropping much, if at all, to fill it. On the other hand, the first week or two in December is often a less expensive week for all lines.

2. When it rains in the Caribbean, it is usually brief, and then the sun comes out again. No guarantees, though.

3. There is no chat forum on the Royal Caribbean website. THIS is the place to be for information.

Thanks for your time. I guesss if it's going to rain at least you are on THE ship to keep yourself busy!

Bridge Tour? How did you set that up? Were you invited?

L&M Show.... Is there a 'Try Out??? When?

Aqua Shows must have been cancelled due to the rain???

Thank you again. It's been great 'cruising' with you!

One last post and off to get ready for the bridge tour...

Sprout ~~~ I know I am not REALLY crazy....lol....just always been very hyper and excited by the littiest things (I just don't hold back!). But on this ship, one has no choice but to be over the edge on everything...regardless. Take that fact, and add my personality and it EXPLODES!! Cruising is exciting enough.......but....... cruising on the Oasis......................................................................................

(hmmmm...I guess I was speechless there for a sec!!;))

1. Diamond plus member can take it (may be diamond too because hubby did do it when we were diamond)

2. try outs are 15 minutes before the show starts

3. aqua show was actually cancelled due to stage problems, not the weather.

yw!!

Thanks for posting. Enjoying reading your posts.

I read that you were using your laptop in the Diamond Room.

I just bought a laptop, and have not used as yet. Was wondering if I should take with me on the Oasis in December.

Are the charges reasonable, or would it be better to just use their computer room.

How do you connect the laptop to the internet in your cabin.

As I mentioned I just got the laptop and have not used anywhere except at home.

thanks

I have heard mixed reviews that there might be California rolls on the Windjammer buffet at certain times. I don't remember seeing them, but we only had dinner there once.

On my April Oasis cruise they had California rolls and other rolls made from non-raw items. We were on late seating so we'd occasionally go when the WJ first opened (6:30 I think) and grab some appetizers or fix an ice cream sundae as a snack.

Dzboss, Has your route changed at all? They are expecting a tropical depression to come through south florida fri. It is now near you all. I am really sweating this out. I live here in south florida and they will keep you all out there longer if it slows down and then our cruise will be shorter. Please post any thing you hear please .i would appreciate it. I am so excited reading your posts I hope this weather blows through here. We will shutter up anyway. thanks Sandi

I have since found out that it will come in regardless! C&A said it will sail no matter what because it was built for that !!! Also you can go to the main desk on the ship and sign up for the tours if your diamond also!!

Hey hey!!

Comments first.....

Shazzz ~~~ yes, it is funny how we met. We technically have cruised together twice, but only once as friends. They were great cruises!!!

Sandra ~~~ Course has remained the same. Weather better...more in next post.

***I am not posting in Diamond room....in concierge for suites and diamond plus. I am loving the staff here and I feel comfy here. Stopped using the laptop and bought the $150 package and use the computers here. Much easier for me!

Toby ~~~ what a sweetie. Thank you so much for those words. You and so many others has made this all worth while!!

Ms Dot ~~~ hey my friend. (Feel like we are friends already!!!)

cruisingator ~~~ If you are a diamond plus member you can request a bridge tour. Use to be diamond also, but don't think it is any more. More on that tour in next post.

The bridge tour was amazing!!!! The second officer did the tour (there were about 15 of us) and I was blown away. Hubby has been twice before, but not a tour like this one!!! I have never gone. It was fasinating info, and to see how it all works and be inside the bridge was incredible. And they have a seperate "crisis" center room that was my favorite. Do you know if you light a match in your room...they know??!! We were in there about an hour, and he answered all kinds of questions. My husband may have asked the most!! To get into the bridge we were escorted by security and were practically frisked!!! lol We could take pictures, but no video. I will be posting those pictures with my review. Wow!!

The weather was soooo much better. The sun was out but they kept saying showers, so we opted to go into town and shop. But I was able to get in about an hour at the pool after the tour and before it got cloudy. It was the perfect time to go into town. I am dissapointed that we didn't make it to Orient Beach (damn!), but again....can I really complain about anything while still on this ship!!

I need to go shower but I want to try and make it to Bingo. Dinner tonight is in the MDR. Tonight we have the ice show at 8:30 and there is a fun music thing going on at the aquatheater at 10:15. I think there is something else but who can keep track without the compass!!

Happy to hear the rain let up and the sun was out for a while! Thanks again for taking us with you on the Oasis!!

I know you do not have any kids with you, but did you happen to check out the Pets at Sea? I know my kids will *have* to have one while we are onboard....trying to see how much they need to save before our trip. Thanks!

Evening all!!!

5:00 we had the Crown and Anchor cocktail reception. Richard Spacey of course was there. An amazing video of the creating of the Oasis told in the "voice" of the woman, who is Ms. Oasis. Marvin of the CD's staff sang...what a voice!! Then the captain spoke. What a nice guy!!! Talked about how cruising has changed since he started back in the 70's. Told us Royal had no contracts to build any more ships at the moment, but project "sunshine" is in the works. No more big ships like Allure and Oasis...they want to build similiar to the freedom class.

Ate in the MDR. Had apple soup (yum) and a fruit plate and a caesar salad (always good) and this amazing cauliflower pancake as the entree (I have pictures of course).

I still want to get to Bingo...but haven't found the time..that is good though!!

We have the ice show at 8:30 and Summer Breeze at the aqua theater at 10:15. Then at 11:30 is the 70s show on the promenade. It runs the length of the promenade and they say about 4,000 people turn out for it. It is wild!! Have been to it on other ships. We may try and watch it from the Diamond lounge.

Doubt I will be posting again tonight. Too wonderfully busy!! I have to mention I am soooooooooo sad to be heading back. Don't get me started!!!:(:(:(:(

Have a good night all!!!!!!!
