Carnival Cruise Lines has asked that I pass on the following information to our members:

"Based on a previous post suggesting that Carnival's Europe cruises on the Liberty are sold out and/or oversold, [we] want to clarify that there is no truth to that. Further, we are not bumping people from any Med sailings as the previous post suggested. As a matter of fact, every Med cruise on the Liberty has some open space right now and is available for booking. On some sailings, space is fairly limited, but all of the Liberty's Med cruises have cabins available".

I think the above information clears up this issue. Thanks, Carnival.

I just booked an Aug.13th cruise on the Liberty to the Mediterranean through Triple A. Had no problems. There were at least six cabins in each cat. After we booked we went on line and the cabin number was removed. So I'm assuming all is well. Orbitz had cabins and so did ICruise.;)

Ok so CCL says they're not oversold but I did see the price on the cabin I booked back in September has gone up $2400 on a popular on-line web site. I was stunned to see such an increase and now feel like I'm getting a great deal. Now if I can only find a decent airfare out of Buffalo or Toronto:)

Interesting.

I just received an email from PVP. Prices for three specific sailings in Aug-Sept have been "slashed."

Since you guys have experience with the mediteranean cruises.....when is the best time to take one of these cruises? I'm considering one for 2006 and it sounds as if I need to book now (my husband's gonna gripe about buying another cruise and not yet gone on this year's cruise : ) ) from reading how hot these are.....especially since carnival's pricing seems to be a bit less than other lines.

Thanks in advance

This was for a 7-day RCL Splendour cruise and we got great prices - prices started going up around September and sold out by December. However, the Brilliance 12-day balcony cabins started going up sooner than that. And, the 7-day Splendour cruise was less popular than the 10-12 day cruises. So, you probably don't need to buy now but you definitely want to 8-10 months out. What you should probably do now is start regularly checking the prices of the cruise(s) you're interested in. If you see them starting to go up, you might want to put your deposit down then.

Couple of married middle age females going on Conquest March 13

Am concerned we will be bored,, 7 days to long for first cruise?

You won't be bored...unless you want to be! Since you're already booked and your cruise leaves in a few weeks, don't worry...just go and have a blast!

My sister and I are married, middle aged, and cruise together often. We actually prefer it that way! No one to worry about except ourselves!

OMG...you certainly will not be bored! There is so much to do or not (if you choose). I'm high energy and my DH is low key and prefers to just chill out. I therefore rip and run to all the events, games, pools, hot tubs, etc. and he often just chills in the sun. I do stop once in a while to read a chapter or two in my book while enjoying the warm breezes on my balcony :) Just explore every inch of the ship and you'll always find something to do. Have a great cruise.
