RoadTripFanatic Posted July 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2010 Can we get iced water with meals in the MDR? Can we go into the buffet and get free drinks and then bring them out to the pool area? You can get plain table iced water in the MDR. I think we were the only ones in the MDR who drank "tap" water instead of bottled or sparkling water. I don't remember what the drinks were up on the buffet but whatever they had you could take them out to the pool area. I know we did. I also asked my waiter and he made iced tea for us every night for dinner. He said it was the first time he had ever made iced tea!! :)

AtlantaCruiser72 Posted August 9, 2010 #7 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Many Thanks! Costa's US web site, well, stinks!!!! They make it sound like the ONLY complimentary beverages are tap water and hot tea. Glad to know I can get coffee, OJ, etc like on other cruises. The UK Costa website also says that no drinks are included so I am very relieved to find out that coffee is available from the buffet throughout the day. I think I read that you can have complimentary coffee at the end of a meal in the MDR can someone confirm this?

Makono Posted August 11, 2010 #11 Share Posted August 11, 2010 Joe and Rob, you can also ask for lemon slices in your free iced water! Great info - so I do not need to buy soft drinks. Cold water with lemon is great in hot days :)

G.M.T. Posted August 12, 2010 #13 Share Posted August 12, 2010 My favourite drink (made by my own hand): 1. Take a sachet of drinking chocolate (buffet) 2. Place in mug (contents not sachet) 3. Half fill with cold milk 4. Now top up with vanilla or chocolate ice cream to taste. 5. Don't forget a spoon to help with emptying the mug. 6. Repeat 1 thru 5 as required.
