Hi,

We are cruising on the Star in October. We rae from Australia. Our electricity is rated 240 volts, I not the Norwegian Star is rated at 110 volts.

Will the cabin steward be able to provide an inverter or something to allow us trio recharge our 204 volt items.......camera batteries, razors etc?

I believe you'll find both American 120 volt and European 240 volt receptacles in every cabin aboard the Star. So, your 240 volt appliances should work fine. All you should need is an universal adapter plug so your plugs fit into the receptacle properly.

Like all other ships built in Europe, all the NCL ships operate on 220-240 volt systems.

For the electrically challenged North Americans, step-down transformers have been installed in accommodations areas to furnish limited 110-120 volt power.

There will be plenty of 220-240 volt power sources for you to use.

Power point adapters (NOT power adaptors) are available for loan at the ship's Front Desk,

In our balcony cabin next to the coffee machine were two power sockets/outlets. One was 220V, the other one was 110V, most 220V electrical stuff can be charged using 110V, it just takes a bit longer, on previous visits to lower voltage countries we found my DH's hair shaver doesn't take a charge on 110V, so we didn't take it with us this time, then found 220V onboard. You're sensible to ask the question. (fwiw we had an adaptor anyway so were able to use both sockets instead of leaving the power strip out.;)
