world which live in the wild or half wild: more than 100 species.

They include: zebras, camels, antilopes, deers, ostriches, llamas,

Scotland ponies, tarpans (wild horses), bisons, bulls, saigas (a

species of antilope), gnus, and many many others.

The park consists of:

steppe (a place to visit to see the blossoms of

wild irises, poppies and tulips, see little animals like jerboa,

hare, weasel, birds like kestrel, eagles, marsh harrier and many

more). A walking tour on a ecological trail. Ends near Polovets babas

where safaris are held. You can hire a mini-cab or a horse carriage.

This is where you can see all the unique animals like zebras and

bisons and tarpans in the wild.

Tip: hire a horse carriage, which is more expensive than mini-cab,

but you will see more animals this way. From the mini-cab, you will

see only distant waves of the tall grass, where the animals hiding,

and maybe a piece of a hoof and a tip of an antler.

but since they are not that afraid of the horse carriage, you will

see them all. You will be charged for photographing and video taping.

Swim in a hot geyser

In year 1971, Ukrainian geological department send geologist to the

Black sea steppe to look for oil, gas and minerals. They found

everything, just not enough to start commercial drilling, and a hot

geyser. People os the village Obloi who lived nearby, started using

this geyser for swimming and the mud of this geyser - for body and

face applications, and soon all of them became young again, and ran

marathons at the age of 98!

In 2005 this geyser was opened for visitors.

The molecular structure of the waters is similar to those in Dead

sea.

The year-round temperature is +65 °C.

The swimming pool, added to the geyser, has the year round

temperature of only +45 °C.

The waters are beneficial to people with musculoskeletal diseases

(like rheumatism, arthritis), thyroid gland, nervous system and

respiratory tract.

It's forbidden for swimming to people who have heart problems, who

have just consumed alcohol. It's forbidden to swim in the geyser for

more than 40 minutes.

What - hot geyser

Where - near village Obloi, Golopristansli region, Khersonski

district

When - all the year round

Tip - take your old swimming suit if you go swimming in this geyser.

Due to the high amount of iodine in water, it has brown, muddy

colour, your swimming suit will be coloured the same and you won't be

able to remove the brown tint.

Odessa Saint Assumption patriarchal monastery

Started in 1814, on the land, belonged to a Moldovan nobleman

Alexander Teutel. He always wanted to build a church and a lighthouse

on this land, but could not find enough time to do so. Once, in the

dark evening, he lighted several big fires on the seaside. A Greek

boat, heading to Odessa, mistook the fires for the Odessa light house

and got shipwrecked. Alexander Teutel was devastated by this

disaster, gave a lot of money to the surviving seamen and decided

that it happened because he did not fulfil his pledge. He signed his

land off to the church, to build a lighthouse and a church house, to

prevent future possible disasters.

Since 1824, the church and the lighthouse were transformed into

Odessa monastery.

The monastery has got a XVII century icon with healing powers, relics

and artefacts.

The water from the monastery spring is said to be healing and

cleansing.

A good choir with a good acoustics in the church.

Monk Iona is considered to be a saint, so his blessings are very

sought after.

Tip: if you are a woman, do not wear pants, jeans, short skirts when

going there. If you do, a doorman will force you to cover up in a

cotton skirt, which he has hanging on the nail in his room, it's

slimey and of dubious cleanliness. If you do not want to wear a long

skirt or do not have one, take a big shawl with you and make an

impromptu skirt, by tieing it around your waist. They won't let you

in if you wear pants! In the church

itself, women cover up their hair with head scarves or hats, men, on

the contrary, are required to take their head gear off to show

respect to the God's house.
