Restaurants near Riverside Hotel

We'll be in Fort Lauderdale in October and staying at the Riverside Hotel. Any recommendations for good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel or we can easily get to by water taxi?

There is no need to take the water taxi as there are dozens of good restaurants in the area. Most have menus online. Recommended:

Timpano (Italian/chophouse, live jazz in the bar)

Johnny V's (one of the most expensive, but not stuffy)

Japanese Village Steakhouse (hibachi)

Mancini's (I'm not a fan, but this place is very popular, has live music)

 

Moderate:

Big City Tavern

Mango's (has live music after 9)

Cheesecake Factory

Rocco's Tacos (opening this fall)

Le Bonne Crepe (serves breakfast too)

 

The "in" places to be, these turn into nightclubs after dinner hours:

I've always liked Mangos. They change the menu according to season, and the food has always been really good.
