3redheads Posted September 9, 2010 Author #76 Share Posted September 9, 2010 3redheads or any other recent Liberty cruiser can you remeber what the main shows are?I ask because I will get 'brownie points' if I attend one show with my GF and I wouldn't mind knowing what the options are. I understand they don't change them very often so is there somewhere I can see what they are? Thanks, Ben. Ben, I have all but Sunday's papers. I will look them up and post them for you a bit later today.

When I was on the Liberty last year, they had a hypnotist - hands down one of the best shows I've ever seen on any cruise!

Initially we thought they were klutzes, but just wait....:) They also gave an entertaining learn-to-juggle session in the atrium the next day. Kimbere Posted September 9, 2010 #82 Share Posted September 9, 2010 Thanks for a fabulous report!!! :) We are sailing on the Liberty the first week of December, same itinerary, with a group of 30 people. I can't wait! This will be our 2nd Carnival cruise...the first being on the Glory this past December. Your pics and report have me even more excited than I already was to depart. I love Mexican and am so excited they have a permanent station on the buffet. I also enjoyed Fish & Chips on the Glory, but didn't know it was there till about day 3 or 4...since it's kind of hard to find. I think the Liberty and Glory are laid out the same way, they are sister ships!! :D

wimsiecruise Posted September 10, 2010 #85 Share Posted September 10, 2010 Thank you for the great information and pix ! I'm booked on the Liberty during Christmas and New Year's Eve (Eastern Caribbean) and looking forward to it very much now! I've cruised with Celebrity and HAL a few years ago, so I wasn't sure what to expect from Carnival. It sounds so much better than I had imagined ! I'm also a tad concerned because this time I'm traveling solo. I'm hoping to book a dinner for one at Harry's but was wondering if a single woman (60 +), would look and feel out-of-place dining alone there? I'm sure I'll meet other passengers, but I would like to treat myself to some fine dining, solo or not ?
JerseyshoreBruce Posted September 10, 2010 #86 Share Posted September 10, 2010 LUNCH Having read so much about the Fish n Chips, we headed there for lunch. We may have been the first group there! In order to find it, head to deck 9 and walk across the pool deck, in to the buffet area. Head all the way to the back. In the middle, behind the dessert station, there are stairs heading up on both sides, with a sign for Fish n Chips. This became my favorite place to eat for lunch! Here is some food porn!! Octopus Civichi: Fish n Chips (I didn't care for the fries, just the fish) Fried Calamari, with shrimp etc. Still encountering sizing problems. Will work on it and post later. I had this everyday last year on the Liberty......my favorite spot to eat!

3redheads Posted September 11, 2010 Author #88 Share Posted September 11, 2010 One thing I just thought of that drove me crazy!!!!! People letting their balcony doors slam. This went on all night! I wish there was a mechanism to slow down the door or I wish it was a sliding door. Just thinking that 2 weeks ago right now, we were arriving at the port. I need to plan another cruise! :D
