cruiserforlife Posted February 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2005 I was hungry for something sweet last night and I munched on some of the chocolates from our cruise 2 weeks ago which I never seem to eat while on the cruise because of all the other sweet treats that are available. I was amazed at how good they were or at least from what I remember, especially the dark chocolate ones. They taste as good as some Belgium chocolate that I have had. Anyone agree and does anyone know more about them like where Princess gets them from. Think I'll go back and finish up the rest tonight!

Host Joe Posted February 19, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2005 I have noticed how good they are! I have a terrible thing that I do with them... I am always too full after my 2+ desserts that I have eaten when I get back to the room.. so, I put them on my nightstand. The first thing I do in the morning when I wake up is eat them... it is just a wonderful way to start my day while on the ship! :D
Jaxsonbrownie Posted February 19, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 19, 2005 I also just put them on the nightstand in the evening when we returned to our room .Except for the day we were in cozumel and I indulged in the wonderful "authentic" margarhitas!! I forgot to take them off the pillow and you should have seen my DH'S face when we woke up the next morning!! Body heat just helps them soften up and smear like you wouldn't believe!! The next night our room steward left them on the nightstand for me!!:D

tandemtourer Posted February 19, 2005 #19 Share Posted February 19, 2005 Once I saved the chocolates from the last night at sea by putting them in our toiletry case. After we disembarked it was a very warm day, you can guess what happened. My DH didn't notice that anything was amiss but mentioned that after combing his hair it seemed to have extra body and smelled really delightful. Ethel5 Posted February 20, 2005 #23 Share Posted February 20, 2005 I have often conned the cabin steward into leaving ONLY the dark chocolates for me! I think it's the equivalent of Hershey's Special Dark. Yummmmmmmmmm.:D :D
cruiserforlife Posted February 21, 2005 Author #24 Share Posted February 21, 2005 Ethel5, No disrespect to Hershey's Special Dark, but Princess's dark chocolate is much better! It has a very smooth consistancy and a very long finish.I had some with some 1970 Warre's port and it was an awesome pairing!
