BARBYDOLL Posted October 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2010 Will there be anywhere to buy soft drinks (Pepsi, Tonic) and maybe some wine before we board the ship? We will be staying in Beijing pre-cruise and using Princess transfers to the port. Thanks, Barbara
MTcruiser22 Posted October 25, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2010 We just came back from Beijing-Singapore Princess cruise on Oct. 21. Our hotel (Raffles Beijing) had a gift shop and you could buy canned cokes, bottled water, etc. I think if you bring wine onboard, they charge you a corkage fee ($25 maybe...can't remember). We were warned to only buy bottled water from hotels or stores and not street vendors because they sometimes refill the bottles with tap water. Raffles hotel also left us 2 bottles of bottled water in the bathroom each day for us to brush with.

On Princess we can take some wine on board (for drinking on the balcony, pre-dinner), as well as soft drinks. Only corkage fee if you take to dining room. We just like to have some drinks available in the cabin without having to use room service all the time.
