crazydizzymoo Posted November 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2010 Has anyone had to cancel a cruise before? FIL is waiting on news of a biopsy and if things don't go well, DH and I will probably cancel our cruise. Has anybody had to cancel and has anybody ever got any of their deposit back? It's not until next August but I'm trying to get an idea of options. DH is finding that trying to be practical is helping him keep it together atm. Check your travel insurance, misfortunes involving close family of cruisers is usually covered subject to usual terms re pre-existing conditions (ie a problem was known before the deposit was paid) John Bull
Rare insidecabin Posted November 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2010 If the insurance will not cover the loss then look at the rebook option. Sometime the cruise line will waive the cancellation fees if you can commit to another trip.
