wacamaw Posted November 29, 2010 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2010 Arriving on New year's eve and we are having dinner on New year's day after sightseeing what do you wear to a flemenco show and dinner and how do you tip in euro or us?
ab0si Posted November 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted November 30, 2010 Tip in Euros. Waiters in Largo expect US$, waiters in Spain expect euros. Wear what you want... slacks and shirt will be fine.
riffatsea Posted November 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2010 You canNOT use USA money in Europe!! Euros are the currency and nothing else. BTW tipping is not the same in Europe as in the USA so don't automatically leave a !5-20% tip!! You MAY want to just round up to the nearest euro and leave a small token of appreciation IF the service was special. Definitely don't leave any more than 10% at the most! Agree about dress. Wear whatever you'd wear going out in the USA(not shortsLOL) Just want to add that New Years Eve in Barcelona is a family night for the locals ,so you will only see tourists out at the flamenco show. Wear whatever you want.

catllar Posted December 13, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 13, 2010 For a very short minute there I thought you were performing at a Flamenco show! Please tip in Euros. If we come to the USA I'm sure your table staff would prefer us to tip in Dollars rather than Euros - works the same here. Tipping only needs to round up to the next figure.
