FCOWHER Posted February 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2005 DW and I are flying into San Juan on December 30, 2005 and I was just wondering how early we can get on the Serenade on the 31st. We are travelling with 16 family members and will want to get our New Years partying started as soon as possible. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks, Joe V. 1st time cruiser Posted February 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2005 Don't know what time you leave port, but we boarded shortly after 1 pm and felt like we got a whole extra day. If you call the "official" line, you will be told about 6 (for a 10 pm depart). Go early, they kick the other cruise off by 9:30 am. have a blast we did.\ jo-anne
RichardK Posted February 25, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2005 IF (and there's always that "if") there are no problems with US Customs when debarking passengers and crew from the previous week, noon is a good call. Your cabin may not be ready until 1pm, but you can go to the Windjammer for lunch, and then explore the ship at your leisure.

FCOWHER Posted February 25, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted February 25, 2005 Morty, we are staying at the Radisson Hotel and Casino. There are 17 of us right now. My family has not gone together on a cruise in 5 years, so we are really looking forward to this cruise. I think that New Years is a great way to enjoy our first night in the ship and will make sail away that much more exciting. Look forward to seeing you on the Serenade. Joe V. BuyReallyLow Posted February 26, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 26, 2005 Can be as early as 11 AM - but would count on noon. I agree that it feels like an extra day - just remember that you may not access to your cabin for some time (usually they are done by 1-2 PM) - so pack your carry-on accordingly! FCOWHER Posted February 28, 2005 Author #11 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Cruzo, you can take your time getting off of the Serenade. I think we will be starting off the festivities at Senor Frogs around noon. So please take your time, enjoy your last day of vacation and perhaps we will pass somewhere on San Juan. Joe V.
