Xel Ha or Xcaret??

Neither one is "better", it depends on what you want to do. Xel-Ha has more water based activities like snorkeling, lazy river, cliff dive, etc. Xel-Ha is also all-inclusive (although we found the food to be nothing special). Xcaret also has some snorkeling but there are also zoo animal exhibits, shows (the evening show is supposed to be amazing), etc.

Remember that if your port is Cozumel you'll have to ferry over to the mainland to get to both of these places. 1/2 hour to 45 minute ferry ride plus a good 45 minute drive south...Xel-ha is further south I think.
