Can you buy insurance after you book and pay in full?

Yes, you can still purchase insurance up until the date of departure. You will not be covered for pre-existing conditions, default protection, or other things that are limited by the policy to people who purchase it earlier. Most benefits will be available to you.

This applies to 3rd-party coverage anyway... don't know about that RCC coverage.

Hi, I have bought insurance up to one week before I leave for our trips. You might want to check out "insuremytrip.com" on line. You can google it. They deal with many many companies and you can compare the prices, what each policy offers and the insurance company rating. A friend of mine used this web site and made a claim for medical on two different trips and had no problem. We use it but have not needed to make a claim so I can't comment on that part. Its worth a look.
