Any info on Mariner aft balcony ?

Recommended Posts

Booked for a November cruise on the Mariner. Wondered if anyone has any pictures of the JSuites and balconies? Room #7694 ? Any other information would also be helpful about the room. This is our 1st time booked in an aft balcony room.... can you feel the motion more or the same ?:p

We stayed in this room this past Jan. we loved it. Sorry we didn't take pictures. The room was big enough for 2 people to fit very comfortably. The balcony is beyond huge. We had 2 chairs, 2 chairs with an attached ottoman, 1 lounge chair and a table and we still had plenty of room to roam around. This cabin is smack in the middle of the aft, which gives the perfect view of the wake. We love the privacy also, we could see down into decks 8 & 9. The back does vibrate at times but it wasn't at all annoying. The vibration was actually soothing while laying in bed. We didn't feel that the ship was any more rocky than other parts of the ship and this included the last day when we had terrible seas.

Any more questions let me know. Our stateroom attendant was James probably won't be there by the time you go but he was the best stateroom attendants we've ever had.

Hello 2oc cruiser...We can't wait for this trip. We have been on 4 other cruises with RCCL but this is our first Voyager class ship. We promised our son we would take him on the next cruise and we are bringing a friend for him (two 13yr olds). They already have a bunch of things planned. We will be lucky to see them by dinner(could be a plus). I am glad to know someone else is anticipating this cruise like me. Which room are you in ?

Hi Slavechild2, funny story we were on the Radiance last Nov 04 and booked this trip while on board and we even booked 7964 and put money down but what RCCL did was applied that down payment to the cruise we take this April on the Jewel, not knowing what RCCL did I called them yesterday to put more money down and they said that our reservation was canceled because we never put money down, while after being on the phone this morning with them they said they made the mistake and put the down payment on the April cruise and since there are not any aft cabins left they wanted to give us a choice of 3 different jr. suites and we said no way it wasn't our fault we even had a booking number and conformation for cabin 7964 so they upgraded us to grand suite at no extra charge plus another $100.00 onboard credit so now we have cabin 1260.
