Ships Excursion to The Great Wall

I would like to know if anyone has been on a ships excursion to the Great Wall, from the Port of Xingang , near Beijing, and can tell me a little about it please. [Diamond Princess, from Singapore/Vancouver, 20th April, 11.] Thank you.

Be very careful on the Great Wall. We went with a tour group in 1984, and one of our group actually had her passport and travelers checks stolen there. Make sure your valuables are either still on the ship, or in "hard to get to" place on your person.

We did last year on the World Cruise. We went overnight to Beijing. Left the port and traveled to Beijing and had lunch, about a half hour drive from lunch was the Great Wall, we were there about an hour. Came back to town and went to the Olympic area, then to the Marriott City Wall hotel overnight and dinner & breakfast included (all meals were included). Next morning to Tienamen Square, Forbidden City, Peiking Duck lunch and the Temple of Heaven, back to the ship.

 

Not one thing wrong - great trip.

One lady fell in the restroom at the first pit stop and needed an ambulance, sadly.
