hmm, interesting that the cabins were assembled and installed in pairs. It follows that one could count from the front of the cabin row to discover the bed position. as I was selecting a cabin I was given a slightly different counting method, and it seemed to work. I was told that balcony cabins for three or more have the bed by the closet ( regular balconies, not sure it applies to accessible cabins). So look for a nearby cabin marked with the triangle for 3 passengers. starting with that cabin as bed by closet, the next cabin is bed by balcony, continue counting off closet, then balcony, then closet, etc until you reach the cabin you are considering.

So if you look at the deck plan for DECK 6 and start on the Starboard Side AFT: The first Cabin will have BED/BATH Config, while the next one will have BED/BALC Config. This works almost the entire length of DECK 6. The only time it will change (a little) is when there is a JS/GS etc next to it that would stop the flow.

So...what happens when you get to midship where the JS's are? Based on different threads I've read, someone reported being in 6236 having BED/BATH. But someone else reported being in 6244, a JS, and also having BED/BATH. According to your formula, one of these should have been BED/BALC. A mystery! I'm curious because we have 6242 and 6244 connecting cabins.

Great report, Radio! Thanks!

Thanks for the nice comments. . .

Respectfully, the "Formula" is not mine, but had been determined by previous CC Posters. . . and it appears the that configuration suggestion is not for JS-GS-OS-RS.

I didn't view the Configs for JS, but only the config for D1-D8.

I think it is a brilliant design. . .

My understanding is that ALL of the JS have Bed/Bath configuration. I have never seen a Junior Suite that doesn't have the couch and chair near the oversized balcony doors. I think that is how they are all set up.

Ah, thanks for that info! I wonder if maybe the Bed/Bath configuration isn't as much of a problem in the JS because there's more room than in the D cabins? I haven't really heard any complaints about it from people who have stayed in a JS.

Thank you so much for all your effort!

Going on Oasis in Feb 2010. Wish I could edit out all the member's posts and comments and only have yours in the thread. I am going to show this thread to the misses before we go so we will be ready for the Ship..thanks again

Radio,

It was great sailing with you again and we hope we can do it again soon. The Boss (DW) and I got home to frigid Steeler town safe and sound. I do have a question for you, is it normal that the toilet doesn't make the "jet engine" sound? And where is the Windjammer? Thanks for your companionship and hospitality during our trip.We can't wait to do it again. Our best to Mrs. Radio and the transistors. Look forward to the pictures and video as well.

OK...so my 23 year old daughter is sitting next to me as we scroll through your wonderful 'LIVE' report...and this picture shows up.....and the first words out of her mouth are:

"Well, ship a brick!!!;):D

I know that it is not fair to judge without having been on this ship...but I am sorry, I have to agree with my daughter on that one!

Thanks so much Radio for allowing us to travel with you on another great cruise!
